Hi,
I'm new to the boards and would love some advice: we've been to Disney World once and had a great time, but felt a bit lost at sea! We'd love to go again, but this time want to really make the most of our time and plan the trip right. Any recs for good guidebooks, apps, blogs or websites (other than this fine specimen here) that you love and use?

THANKS!

Thanks! I've been looking at Unofficial, PassPorter and Birnbaums...anything specific you like about PassPorter over the other ones? There's so much out there, I can't keep it all straight!

We had been previously as well, and we declared to the world we would not come unprepared as we felt the first time. I invested in 3 books The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2009 was the best for us as far as information goes. Now the pictures and info in the other two, The Complete WDW 2009 and Birnbaums 2008 Official Guide, now Im sure they have current editions of them all. Those books combined with The DIS and Allears.net made planning easy... and FUN ;) good luck

:welcome: There are some sites that will help map out your day for you. One site would be tourguidemike another would be touringplans. There is a charge for these sites, but it might be worth it. We are veterans to WDW and I will still use these sites. Good Luck!!

:welcome: Just one thing to kinda put out there. Walt Disney World Is huge. Look through those guide books mentioned and than pick out a few places you want to see on your trip or places you might want to eat at. There is no way you can see everything WDW has to offer in a few days. So select a few things and plan around them. Than when you get down to WDW you have a plan to follow. By the time you head home you will have done all you came down to do. Remember this is a vacation. NO STRESS. RELAX. This will make your trip more fun and complete and you will lose that lost at sea feeling. :)

:welcome: I'm going to also recommend the Unoffical Guide, if you purchase the book you get access to the website with the touring plans, crowd calendar for 12 months for half price (under $5), you also get access to the mobile application Lines which will give you real live wait times in all the parks. Also has a pretty hoppin' chat feature.
