hi and good morning all,
thanks for all the replies. i really do know how lucky i am.
kimmar - sorry about your trip cancellation. i also read that you got an email for some great deluxe rates (what are the dates it is good for?). maybe you could work something out. speaking about how "young" we are my dh is in his 30's and i in my very, very early 40's. but like peter pan, we are just refusing to grow up. we have the hearts of "children". you see, marcel is my second dh and i was married to a real "smuck" before that. i never knew that love, life could be like this. i never knew what "fun" and "smiling" was all about. i thank God everyday for my marcel.
also, floridacat - "talk about cinderella and prince charming". funny you said that. you see the reason disney is so, so special to us is that when i first met marcel, after about six months we took a little trip to disney to get away. well, i knew i was falling in love with him and he with me, but i never dreamed it would turn out the way it did today.
one night during the fireworks at mk. you know in the beginning when they announce tinkerbell and that if you make a wish as she is flying overhead it will come true. well, that night as marcel was holding me from behind and we were watching tink, i made the wish to someday marry my prince charming, marcel, the man who was holding me in his arms. well, little did i know was, that night, marcel also made a wish, to marry his cinderella, jeanne, the girl he was holding in his arms. the great part was that we didn't find out we had made the SAME wish until about a year later when he asked me to marry him. we had never told, cause you know a wish doesn't come true if you tell someone. well, it did and it has been wonderful.
we even had a cinderella and prince charming wedding. we had the wedding over here on the west coast of florida, but it was themed for cinderella. even our d.j. (who we found out worked for disney at mgm) was great, disney music all night. as we began our meal that night, he played "be our guest". it was perfect. even my dress was like cinderella's. and to top it all off, i wore "GLASS SLIPPERS". well they were clear plastic, but were perfectly designed after cindirellas. found them in a store in brooklyn, ny and very inexpensive. my dh didn't know i had found the glass slippers until i walked down the isle and in front of the alter pulled back my dress and showed him. we both cried.
i thank you all so much for your thoughts, it really makes me feel wonderful that i could bring smiles to you. just as when i read this thread you bring smiles to me.
