New and have a few concerns

I am hearing such great things about rewards programs and I would like to try some out. I am a bit worried about sites being scams or spamming my email address. I am assuming these programs mentioned here are great since there wouldn't be so many people participating! Anything I should be concerned about? I read the 2002 list of reward programs and I"m very excited to start. I think I will start with Disneyawards, how's that?

If you want lots of points but dont want to fill up your email I strongly suggest you start a new email account with someplace like Hotmail, Yahoo, or Go.Com specifically for reward programs. They are all free and I use all 3 for my programs. Its quite easy once you get the hang of it to go down the list of emails and click the box to delete the ones you know are spam from signups. Be sure that when you sign up with any of the programs especially MyPoints that you check ALL of the interests and check where it asks if you would like emails be sure to check there too.

Something I didn't realize when I first started doing rewards programs is that it might take several weeks to receive awards from Blink and Mypoints. Mypoints has been been a little quicker though recently. I'm not familiar with Disneyawards, but I'm sure someone else can help you out with that program.

Also, Mal and Beanie are a wealth of information regarding rewards programs and are always willing to answer questions.

Thanks! I think I am going to try MyPoints for awhile. I just ordered from Petco and I'm hoping I did it right to get the points. I went through the link at MyPoints and ordered away. I guess I will find out in a while.
This is pretty fun! Now why haven't I been doing this for the last several years :lol

I started doing Blink and Mypoints in January and have already earned $70 (plus another $20 I'm waiting on from Blink) in webcertficates. I do some internet shopping (LLBean and Lands End) and am always on the lookout for deals. I also check Naughty Codes and Current Codes to see if merchants have any codes I can use. Good luck!

just have not had time to post much...I did the flowers for a friends wedding this week-end.It was so beautiful.


I did 24 urns filled with annuals and vines and 40+ candles lining the edges of the swimming pool.

Pictures left to right from each lamp post were hung boston ferns and in between each lamppost on the bricks in front of the ironwork I placed white gercian urns planted with Spikes,pink &white begonia,varigated vinca,aspargus fern, and sweet alysum in most.Some had fushia but alot of the fushia had to be replaced due to a really wet week leading up to the wedding.

The next picture and the 4th picture are the same place and I placed the same white urns (7) total between each of the four seasons and in front of the arch.

around the pool on the four corners I places iron plinths painted white with pillar candles of either white or blue on each. then lined the perimeter of the pool with 38 tealight candles in small hurricane holders.With larger Blue candles about every 7 tealights.It was really beautiful.(if I do say so myself! LOL)

anyway that is where I have been all week-end.
