anybody else watching this show? i think its really good. another newer show that i enjoy is eli stone...and now that the writer strike is over i wonder if these shows will have a ratings drop? i always get sucked in by these shows and then they get cancelled by the network..i hope these survive!

I like it a lot. I also hope it doesn't get canceled.

DH and I are very much enjoying "New Amsterdam". Love the flashbacks and time-lapse photography. I love how he never lies...people just think he's joking!

I know, I love it. it seems like its his sense of humor, when in fact...it is the truth:rotfl: I love it!

Just watched the finale, and it was amazing!! So well done!!

I searched to see if anyone had starred a thread about the episode, and found this old one instead. Did all of you keep watching? What did you think of the ending?

They have to be talking about a different show - the New Amsterdam on NBC didn't start in 2008 (when this thread was started).

Yup, 15 yr old zombie thread.........LOL.
Well, the DIS boards now suggest existing threads when you try to post a new thread on the same topic. So apparently the DIS is now following the practice of other message boards where it is preferred to reply to an existing threat as opposed to starting a new one.

I remember thinking WOW I didn't know the show had been around that long!? Oh well... regarding the New Amsterdam that ended the other night; yes I watched that finale. It was one of those shows we watched every week as it aired, so never had the opportunity to "binge". I always enjoyed it. I thought the finale was very well done, and yea I got really emotional about it.

DH and I watched from the beginning. I thought the end was well done. I’m disappointed it’s over. We are running out of shows we watch together. Right now we are down to The Resident—just had their season finale so who knows if it will be back and A Million Little Things which hasn’t started yet but the final season (abbreviated) starts I think in February but then it’s done.

It was a show we looked forward to watching together every week.

We will miss it and the characters.

And we enjoyed the finale. I watched it again last night. It was like watching the 6th sense again after knowing how it ended.

I loved it, too. Loved the characters, stories, actors, thought the last three episodes (just binged them a few nights ago) were terrific. I will definitely miss the show.

Late to the party as I just had time to watch this on my DVRE...I watched from the first episode and would have been happy to see this continue without Max who became increasingly more annoying season to season. I didn't enjoy a lot of this season and thought the series finale was blah. I hung in there just because I watched from the first episode. I was just kind of glad it was over. I realize I seem to be in the minority. The Resident season/possible season finale was so much more well done.
