New American Idol Discussion - Winners Info Don't look unless want to know who won!!!

I have to admitt that I'm surprised. I didn't think Fantasia was going to win!!! I'm very proud of America. Seems like we are voting for talent. I wish her well!!!!!!

I thought every one on this board would vote for her. Isn't Fantasia named after a Mickey Mouse film? - I think so correct me if I'm wrong!!

A VERY emotional ending it was! I figured Fantasia would win.. she's got a great voice. I liked Diana a bit better though.

I voted for Diana, but I'm not unhappy with this. I totally understand it and it was definitely deserved.

Random thoughts about the show...
* I hated Kelly's makeup. I love seeing her though.
* Wow...you could really tell how much Leah, Camille, JPL, and Matt suck when they were back onstage with Fantasia, Diana and LaToya.
* I hated Amy's hair.
* Okay, I lied, I will buy both of their CDs as soon as they come out
* I wish Clay would have been there to perform.
* Kim Caldwell is a spaz
* Dude, where did Jennifer Love Hewitt come from? random.
* Simon looked fabulous.
* Didn't like Ruben's song
* I want Diana's highlights, although I can only imagine what it would cost.
* I dig the new single.
* Geez...why do I always cry at this stuff???


I love American Idol. Don't know if I can wait til January...

I was so surprised because I didn't think she fit into Americas image of what pretty is. And I have to agree that she didn't have the best of the voices but in my opinion Diana couldn't hold a candle to her. She was almost always off. She appeared to be tone deaf, and I know Fantasia cracked a few times, but compared to Diana she has the purity of Whitney Houston voice at 18 years old. Diana sound awful to me. I'm trying to figure out how she made it that far. None of the top 10 were - shall I say, "All of that"!!!!! But with what I've seen, Fantasia was the best of that bunch!!!!!!

I know!!! I couldn't tell if they wanted to make her look like she had been punched, or they were trying to cover up being punched! So strange. Her hair was kind of wonky, too. But, I'm not complaining too much...I love that song!!!

It's just amazing to me how genuinely happy I can be for these people! lol I have voted every week for her from the beginning and I was in tears when she won! It's so awesome to see regular people have their dreams come true in that way.

I was wondering if the title would ruin the show for some people. Oh well, accidents happen.

Anyway, congratulations to Fantasia and Fantasia's fans. She stayed with it and stayed consistent and definitely earned the top prize IMO.

I was glad to see LaToya, Amy and Matt again. My son was VERY excited to see John.

I don't really like Fantasia, but I prefer her over Diana, so I'm glad she won. I missed the first hour and a half because of a lecture I had to go to, but I recorded it. I definitely have to watch it later on, probably tomorrow, so I can see John Stevens and Clay! I also have to see all the other things that people are talking about.

I'm not surprised Fantasia won, but I wish Diana would have. I liked her style much better. Not to mention I liked her version of the single better.
