this is all very new to me and I suppose with the dates I want, time may be past due. I would like to take my family to Disney from Dec 23-26 but am not sure where I can stay with 5 people. I had thought of renting points and going the dvc route but not sure how many to ask for as I am uncertain of room size. I tried posting last night and cant find the post anywhere...

So, is this still a chance I could find something?
and where should I look?

Thanks for whatever help you can give me...

Part of the answer will depend on the age of your youngest.

If he or she is under 3, there are tons of choices. Any resort room will accomodate 4 plus one in a pack and play.

If that doesn't apply, your choices are a bit more limited. Hang on a sec and I'll find you a link :)

... OK, I'm back. Here's a link about the choices for families of 5: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1777457

It's meant as a vent on the limitations of the choices, but your options are all there.

But, as you mentioned, I would get on this ASAP. Good luck!!

WELCOME!!! Port Orleans Riverside is nice for 5...as long as one of the kids isn't too big or old, since there are two beds and a trundle. We stayed there and my oldest chose the trundle - but he's too big for onw now!! :lmao:

My oldest is 15 and I am not sure she would appreciate a trundle. I may end up asking my Dad and step-mother (the nice not the wicked kind) to join us and ship a child in with them.

Thanks for the welcome... I guess I really need to get on this....

Happy posting & good luck with your Christmas ressiepixiedust:

We are renting from a DVC member this year and I'm so happy. I would recommend it. If you think about it, go to the DVC board here on the DIS and read all about it first. You can google DVC points and find how many you will need. Feel free to PM me if you have questions. :)
