Congrats and Welcome Home!! Can I ask what made you choose AKV over the others? For us, we had always wanted to stay at AKL but would never have paid cash for a room. DH loves photography so he picked the resort (any of them would have been fine for me). The decor is alot like our home. We bought last June and have not regretted one minute.

I'm also getting into photography. What better place to start. WDW is the most colorful place i know. I had a rebel XT and it produced great photo's. Then i learned how to use the camera and got a Rebel Xsi and it has only gotten better.

You will love the resort. DH uses a Canon D40 or something along those lines. All I know is it was an expensive camera and he frets over packing it to take anywhere. I am glad your Rebel is working for you and know you will get some great photos. You can see some of them at www.pbase.com/tgerman He has a small category of his Disney pics there. My favs are the pics of our 4 legged Jack Russell daughter, Trinity.

Again, Thank you everyone We can't wait to enjoy our wonderful vacations with DVC. The in-laws think it's a bad idea due to what "timeshares" did in the past. You know the "Horror stories"

I think this is going to be great for our family. We enjoy going to WDW and might look into going to DLR and Hawaii
