I briefly read an article about Disney introducing a new 4 day/4 park tickets for 340.00.

The deal — dubbed the 4-Park Magic Value Ticket — will go on sale Jan. 18, and the tickets must be used by March 1. It works for one day of admission to Magic Kingdom, one day at Epcot, one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and one day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tickets can be used to enter each theme park only once.

We purchased two day tickets last month but since we will be there during this time we might save the 2 day and purchase these. I'll have to see if the 2 day pickets have an expiration date.

I was excited to see the announcement as I was about to buy 4 day tickets ahead of our fastpass date next week for our late February trip. But I'm hoping it's an error, it says they won't be on sale until January 18th which is also the first day they can be used for admission... who would want to wait to buy tickets and not be able to book fastpass in advance?

I noticed that as well. I guess they need to get more details to the public. I noticed our 2 day tickets have an expiration date of 12/19. Not sure if we will go back before then so I guess I'll have to see if they will consider an "upgrade" but if not we will just use our 2 day.

Comparing to a 4 day base ticket you save about $20.
I may opt for those in the future if available since we don't back track to parks twice

Last minute planners and impulsive people who don't necessarily care about fast passes.

If you are a Florida resident then I would hold off on purchasing that as they typically offer a good deal in the spring

We not residents so I'll follow to see if more info comes out. We paid 225 each for the 2 day, so 340 for a 4 day is pretty good. IF they will let me upgrade.

There is also a 3 or 4 Day Discovery Ticket for FL residents that I see came out two years in a row in January...2017 and this year 2018. I usually don't purchase my tickets till after my refund hits in late February. By that time there is some really good deals available for FL residents.

That's about $15 cheaper than the normal FL resident ticket. Savings of $30 for my son and I and if husband decides to go, a savings of $45. That pays for 2 kosher meals for us to eat offsite! :jumping1:

This isn't new. They did the same thing in Dec 2016, only then it was $280.

then they did it again in summer 2017 for $316

I was about to post the same thing, they do this ticket pretty much every year.
Be warned though, if it's like the ones in the past, pretty sure they were not upgradeable. For instance, you can't buy it and then want to add the Hopper.
Also, you can't change your mind and go to say, 2 days at MK, 1 at Epcot and 1 at AK. It's 1 day at 1 park, no repeating parks. A lot of people really hated that when they go there and wanted to repeat MK

Also it's not JUST the Jan-March time frame. The special 4-park tickets (one park per day and no repeating parks) will be available for a lot of date ranges, but the price goes up during prime times.

Hi AngiTN! :wave2:

The ticket I'm waiting on is the FL Resident Discovery Ticket. As I remember that one does allow for a park repeat. :cheer2:

Just to clarify you can go back in the same park multiple times in the same day, correct? Like if you go back to the hotel for a midday break. I only ask because of the “4 admissions” wording.

Yes. Each "admission" is good for one whole day to one park. You cannot use 2 "admissions" to go to 2 different parks in the same day, you would need a park hopper for that.
