DO NOTE: I hate that I even have to write this, but please leave your opinions of "Captain EO"/Michael Jackson outside, a'right?

So "Captain EO"'s "limited engagement" has been going on for almost a year now and it feels as though Disney may actually finally be working on a new 3D movie for EPCOT. Any ideas as to what kind of film we may see in the future? :3dglasses

Bringing back EO was a good idea. Maybe they could bring back Magic Journeys???? That had some really cool 3D stuff and terrific music.:earsboy:

I'd like to see a 3D show based on the TRON Legacy stuff. I think something based in the new TRON universe has some great potential for a 3D show or 4D show with a moving theater, and EPCOT would be the perfect park for it.

I REALLY like the Tron idea. FW seems like the ideal place.

Even though I am a fan of Captian EO, I think a new 3D movie would be great, especially now that EVERY single movie is 3D I am sure they could do something totally new.

However, I do like the Tron idea.

I think a change would be nice. That is all.....

You've actually brought up an interesting point. Aside from the occasional horror movie sequel, 3D was very unusual in the time when Magic Journeys and EO were originally made. Now that 3D is pretty much everywhere, what could Disney do that would be more unique? :confused3

They could continue down the road of making even more immersive 4D experiences.

I think a state of the art Magic Journeys-style film would be fantastic. It would be nice to see something creative and unique return to that space rather than a rehash of another Disney property like Tron or Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

I apologize to any Tron fans for mentioning those two properties in the same sentence.
