New 2017 Dining Plan Prices?

Disney is experiencing website problems this morning, apparently no one knows when it will be fixed but hopefully soon!

I was on the phone to dvc 's member services yesterday & asked the same thing. The cm said they hadn't finalised it yet !

In pricing my package, it appears that for 4 people (3 kids, 1 adult), the Quick Service went up by $6 and change and the Dining Plan went up by $8 and change per night.

I played around with the Disney site and from my math, the QS plan is $46.34/adult per night and $20.18/child per night. My numbers could be off, of course, but that's what I came up with.

Here's my analysis and its honestly the weirdest thing! So when pricing everything out this morning in my spread sheet I noticed that the deluxe dining plan was only about a $600-$800 difference if you booked certain views...so like take the poly for example...if you added the deluxe dining plan on the difference from a lagoon view and the theme park view with the deluxe dining was only about an $800 difference and that was for a 10 day/9 night trip. It made absolutely no sense to me! Now the prices at Poly were absolutely ridiculous to start off with so we crossed poly off our list of potential resorts to stay at...but still I found that very very unusual

Wow. If that's true, that's a significant jump....especially with losing the snack entitlement on the QS plan. I can't imagine that's correct.

Yeah, I came up with $46.34 per adult per day on the QS plan, $67.33 on the DDP, and $103.57 on the DxDDP.

I've been stalking the dining plan page on the Disney's site, and the brochure was there earlier this morning. No pricing, though. Now the entire page is blanked out.

Did anyone else see the brochure and notice about half the World Showcase restaurants were missing from the table service section? We wanted to return to Chefs de France, but it wasn't listed. Neither were the restaurants from Mexico or Italy. I saw Norway, UK, Canada (2 credit Le Cellier), and Morocco represented. Oh, yeah, Japan and China were missing, too.

I noticed that too, the Disney Springs restaurants are not on there either. Am hoping it's like in years past and they will join by the end of the year.

are you sure it is $103.57 for DxDDP? it is currently at like $115 right now, a drop would be a surprise!

I thought maybe I rushed it and did something wrong, but I went back and did a dummy reservation again to check my math and that's what I came up with.

I used a 6 night reservation at Pop for 5/19-5/25 next year. One adult with 7 day tickets is $1340.42. Add the DxDDP and the total comes to $1961.85. $1961.85 - $1340.43 = $621.42 which is total cost of the deluxe dining plan for 6 nights. $621.42 / 6 = $103.57 per person per day.

Doesn't seem right that it would drop by $12/day, but that's what the math comes out to.

The ones not listed are not owned by Disney, and have not yet negotiated their contract with Disney as of now. Usually doesn't happen until late in the year. I would expect all of the Epcot restaurants to be on it, as well as MOST of the DS restaurants.

I just went and rechecked and my DVC adult rate (which was what it was before the price increase) is $111.73 a day (thought maybe I was misremembering!) That makes the dxddp pretty appealing, if you take off $10 for 2 snacks, it values each TS around $31 per person (if you do all TS that is) which is really easy to do - any character buffet/aycte breakfast will get you there (with tax) as will most combinations of appetizers/entrees/drinks/desserts even at the less expensive TS places. Going to sci fi ordering the least expensive everything puts you at $34 with tax. If you can eat that much it makes it easily a very good deal the second you start picking anything that is more expensive. Even the signatures are good deals with the apps in there.

Yep. If a family is willing to spend that much time in restaurants on their trip to Disney and has the stomach for it, it appears to be a pretty decent deal.

We are doing 2 meals a day spread out over 5 days (4 nights... they are 5 full days because of a split stay - we are flying in the night before and staying at AKL Kidani for a night and then moving to Poly for the last 3 nights, so we have time to use the credits over most of our trip). Doing a breakfast and a dinner a day - 3 of the nights are 2TS choices. Traveling solo with a kiddo and QS is pretty much hell on earth for me ;)
