New “Extra Magic Half Hour”

Coming in March for a week and staying on Disney property. In that Extra Magic Hours are gone and replaced with “daily extra half hour prior to opening for resort guests“, I can just imagine the problems for rope drop crowds gathered prior to opening.

Does anyone know whether they clearly delineate the waiting area outside park entrances for the etra half hour Magic resort guests and non resort rope drop guests?

From prior experience, be it with EMM or random rope drop, and even extra magic hours, and especially given how close the new construct is to actual park opening time, I can only imagine mayhem and confusion, but hoping I am wrong.

I'm sure they will figure it out. How did they do it in the past for resort early entry?

They may keep others off to the side. You can't actually get in unless you are a resort guest so I don't understand the mayhem or confusion...

Also, not sure if so many people would rope drop since if resort guests are already in 30 minutes early, depending on the park, rope drop may not be of much importance anymore.

I spoke with a CM a week ago who told me to check website in "a few days" regarding when 30 min early entry will happen. That was a week ago so I am with OP and believe not for awhile. Was hoping by late March.

To be honest the CMs know nothing. Disney will post and then CMs will know correct information. The CM who told you to check in a few days was incorrect.
