Can someone confirm for me that PizzaRizzo is indeed open for business? I've got one crazy Muppet fan who wants to know for our trip next week. All I can say is, "RATS!"

It’s open! And I love that you have a Muppets fan! Not sure if you already know this but if you watch the sign for PizzaRizzo long enough, some of the letters in “The city’s top rated pizza” black out so the sign reads “it’s rat pizza” we loved that little Easter egg!

It’s not THAT bad, really. I had a very nice time there recently. Ate outside, relaxed, well fed. Nice CMs. Mostly clean. (A dad dropped his salad all over the stairs, creating a bit of a danger zone, but these things happen and it was tended to quickly.)

Yeah....it's not horrible, but certainly not my first choice. I actually wish there was MORE Muppets in the parks.

Are you going to the Regal Eagle as well? I’m a HUGE Muppets fan. Anxiously awaiting all of The Muppet Show episodes one Disney+ next month.

Sam Eagle is one of my favs and we just missed the Regal Eagle opening the last trip. Since my family loves BBQ and it’s outdoor seating - it’s a win/win for this Muppet lover and family. Craig and Ryno have given the Regal Eagle a great review on the dining blog.

Fingers crossed I’ll see the sporadic Muppet show in MK by the Hall of Presidents some day.

My kids love PizzeRizzo! It really isn't all that bad. The pizza is more crust than toppings but it's OK in a pinch. My DH likes the meatball sub and I actually really enjoy the antipasto salad. Last trip, we split up. DH and one DS headed to PizzeRizzo to order pizzas for the boys while the other DS and I got Woody's Lunchbox grub for DH and I then we met them over there to eat. Not sure if they will still allow you to do that with the current situation but maybe someone else can speak to that.

We have been to the Regal Eagle. It's worth your time to look around. Sam is so .... Extra! The food is great!

I am not sure if this will work there, but we had a situation at Disneyland where people in our group really wanted Pizza Planet (the DL equivalent food wise) and I ended up ordering the gluten free pizza. It did take a little longer, but was prepared fresh and much better than the normal pizza.

When we went to Pizza Riso we just had some desserts and drinks to check out the location, so that could be another viable choice.
