Never thought I would do this, but....

I returned from a Mariner cruise 2 days ago and our whole family loved it. There were 16 of us from age 6 to 75. Plenty to do and the kids complained when we took them out of the Adventure Club. My nieces and nephew are 13, 15 and 17 and they all had a terrific time. The ship was immaculate -- even the public restrooms were very very clean at all times. I thought the food was pretty good considering they prepared 17,000 meals a day! Was it 5-star dining? No, but it was way better than any of the food I ever had in WDW parks. The staterooms were roomy and our attendant was always on top of it. We always had a cleaned-up room and fresh towels. The service from the entire staff was way above standard. I think that if you like cruising, you'll like Mariner. Good luck!

Minnie,

I sent you a PM. We are booked for the Mariner for April 9, 2006.

I too, am trying something different next year. We will be sailing on Costa cruise during Presidents week and it is $5,000 less for a verandah cabin on Costa than a Cat 8 on DCL. Yeah it will be different, but after 2 DCL cruises my DH and I and my kids ages 14 and 10 are also looking for new and different.

For those of you that have cruised on the Mariner, which deck would you suggest for a balcony room? We are looking to book an April 2007 cruise. That's a loonnngggg way away!!!!!!!!
