Just booked March break 2025, March 8-15. Had the choice of almost all areas. Snagged a 1 bedroom boardwalk view for the whole time. Might switch to AKL Value for a few of the days- they are still available.
Yes I know its 1 bedroom, but its the 7 month mark of what is usally a busy time and loads of availability. The studios are harder to come by for the more desirable areas. Standard Boardwalk still available for 1 bdrm as well. Didnt want to annouce this until I secured our room..lol.

Second week of March is usually a fairly low DVC demand time. It might be a high Disney in general time but it is close to being an off-season for DVC demand. At most Resorts,1BRs are the last to fill. During that time in March, BWV p/g 1BRs are almost always open at 7-months out, and boardwalk view is fairly often open, and sometimes even standard view, and even AKV value 1BRs are sometimes open.

Some school districts here in Texas have spring break that week, while many others have it the next week. So that is kind of different, usually they all have Spring Break the same week. BTW New Braunfels band will be there for a few days during the week of March 17 to 25, and there is some sort of band workshops during that week at Disney, according to my friend's teen that is in band. They are staying at All Stars.

Also, Easter is very late in 2025. Not until April 20. Many schools use Easter as the basis for their spring break. Travel will be really spread out across March and April compared to this year when Easter was March 31.

Was just going to say Easter not until end of April so many schools (elementary/high school) in Northeast don't have break until around then.

I agree, availability recently has been significantly better than it was the first couple post covid years.

Not terribly surprising, since there was that huge point glut with the parks closed for 3 months (and Aulani and VGC longer), but nice to see.

We had originally planned to go March 1-5 but opted not to and use the points for a "nicer" room at Christmas. Checked availability this morning and saw the same -- wide open.

We just decided to go early March, and can't get the BoardWalk 1 bedroom as of Saturday. It's too bad we didn't plan sooner, because it sounds like we could have secured the room. Trying the waitlist , but I don't know anything about the waitlists. Has anyone had success with waitlists or stalking? We're also trying to get 1 night Jambo studio Savanna, and 1 night BRV studio.

My friend and I each booked studios at Riviera for 3/10-14 on Saturday with no problems. And I did not book until the evening at the 7 month mark. I had other options but my friend really wants to try Riviera so I am doing a split stay 3/7-10 at AKV-Jambo (using restricted banked resale points that are not eligible at Riviera) and then 3/10-14 using other resale points.

The Northeast doesn't do an Easter break. It's two breaks, one week right around Presidents day (February) and then a week in April (around Patriots day). Now sometimes when Easter is late, they coincide, but that is by chance.

Where I am in NY, the public schools always have a break around Easter, either week of or after. We do not have a Patriots Day. Same with President's Day - we no longer have the week. It could just be where I am in Hudson Valley, but it involves multiple counties.

Sorry, I was not thinking of New York when I read Northeast. I tend to think of the New England states. We all do it a little differently! The Hudson Valley is beautiful!

It’s a little more all over the place than that. But that is the most common up here.

My kids district gets 2 weeks off for Easter. 🤷‍♂️

that's wonderful! have a great trip. maybe there's hope for us late planners to get rooms 😊

has anyone waitlisted first week of march? i was told that there is a challenge getting room for that week because of Mardi Gras.

Good Luck! If you are open to SSR or OKW or AKV, I think you probably will have a good waitlist chance. My friends and I normally go the first week of march, but we decided to wait a week this year as we have been during Mardi Gras before and don't want to go again. It was definitely more crowded with Mardi Gras as apparently all of LA is there that week.

That's what I've heard. We have gone that first week in the past and it's been great...definitely worried now.
I thought Spring Break started the following week, so we were avoiding that week.

Today I finished spring break reservations. Poly was wide open again, similar to last year. I really wanted BRV since we stayed at Poly last year. It wasn’t wide open leading up to my dates but thankfully someone dropped nights I needed and I have a whole week there in a studio! Points are so fun! I had to start a walk a few days early but not too much trouble with it.

Same thing happened to me with BRV...grabbed a couple of nights when a cancellation came up🎉 Now just waiting for BWV🤞
Have a great vacation!
