Never received email or postcard, but got code???

If it hadn't been for these boards my 40% off code would have never been discovered. I never received a post card or email from Disney. I just decided to call like others were doing and to my surprise I had a code attached to my name. How did this happen??? :confused3 Normally I wouldn't have even been on the boards this early (figured December codes wouldn't be out till summer). Anyway, I just hate the "code waiting" thing and I am so thankful to this board. :worship: Now my December trip is all set. To all those who are still waiting, hang in there, and really you have to keep calling because you may have a discount and not even know it!! :thumbsup2
 
I just tried calling and the CM said their computer system was being enhanced and he could not give me any information. He said to call back later this afternoon, too bad I will be at work the rest of the day. Oh well, I guess I'll try another day.
 
I got the 20% off code and never rec'd an email or postcard either.
No complaints about the amount of discount because something is way better than nothing.
 
I also got the 40% off discount by calling & never got the email or postcard. I don't really understand it :confused3
 

Called and they said I had 40% code. I booked Movies for 8 nights and POFQ for 3 more nights with discount. Booked the POFQ quite abit later.....STill had a code.

Yesterday I called and was thinking of upgrading to Contempory. The CM said I had no code:scared1: ! I said I did and to look at my reservation. She said yes but there is no code. I said " I guess I'll leave things alone:confused3

Be careful about changing.....

Something tells me that it is no accident on Disney's part that emails and postcards are not sent out to all "code" holders.
 
me too!! :cool1: had AAA booked for December 3-14. called and was told pin code available starting December 7th, so split the ressie and added a day!! if I would not have been reading here, I never would have called because we already had a ressie! HOORAY DIS!! :worship:
 
sometimes Disney emails are sent to bulk or spam folders...

I've been checking my bulk folder every day to no avail...*sigh*

I'm going to keep calling as well. It seems to be hit or miss!
 
I've been reading these boards religiously for a few weeks now and FINALLY decided to register :) My husband and I are finally going on our honeymoon this December . . .after 2 years lol and I chose Disney World!

I'm sooo jealous of those who recieved the 40% off code. . .so lucky!! hehe I've called 3 times so far these past couple weeks and 2 of the 3 CM was able to find me. . .but withOUT a code. It's sad because I know I definitley won't be recieving any post card in the mail anytime soon lol :sad1:

Has anyone ever called and called. . .and then all of a sudden get a code? And if so, how long did it take??

Any of those will take you to the same place. It DOESN'T matter which number you call, it is whether or not you have code in their computer system.

I finally got through today and found out I have no codes attached to my name :(

I am so sad.......lol
 
I called last night to see about a preferred room. The CM I talked to was wonderful. I asked him if their were any discounts in December. He told me to go to the special offers on the disneyworld web site to find a code that was good the time we are going. I tried and had no idea what he was talking about I couldn't find anything. He said he would help me and said if I switched resorts he could save me over 400 dollars!!! Needless to say I switched from POR to POFQ. I told him I had been reading about 40% off codes and he told me that is what I got. YEAH

I also asked about any deals for early May for the mid level resorts (orleans, etc) and she laughed and said no deals, sorry...

maybe I should call again and again and again until they find a code for me...haha

That's awesome. Doesn't it make you wonder though? I sometimes think that it all depends on who you talk too. That's why you have to keep calling. Sometimes they aren't in the mood to look for you. I wonder if they could find the code if they looked harder or maybe some of them don't even know where to look. Just a thought.

is the code only for a certain date? If I have a Disney credit card & have ordered the DVD from the site, would that put me in the system?
