We were there last Dec. 7-9th at the Poly and I heard NOTHING about the bounceback promotion! I am TICKED! I never get any coupons or promo codes, we have the Disney Visa. This time I got a survey after we got home but that's it! Come on, I'm so loyal--throw me a bone!!!!!!

We left POR the evening BEFORE the Bounceback deal started. I am soooo sad about that.

I was there in November. I do remember the kiosk set up at POP, but I was only there for one very short arrival night and then I moved to SSR. I honestly did not think the bounceback included free dining. Had I read the boards more carefully, in the two weeks before I left, I would have known. There wasn't anything at Disney that directly advertised it. So, like others, I did not realize I missed the promotion until I got home. I'm usually pretty savy when it comes to the promotions, so I feel dumb that I completely missed it! Had I known, I'm sure I would have booked it. It would have saved me all the guessing and wondering about whether free dining will ever be released.

I was at Old Key West in December and would not have known about it if I did not see it here and on Allears. It was not advertised onsite at resorts other than the Contemporary, POR, BC and Pop Century, and the notifications one got at the resorts did not mention "free dining" only that you could book a package at a certain price. You would have to have figured out yourself that the package price was equivalent to getting free dining.

What exactly is "bounceback"?....I am not familiar with this term.

This was a promotion that was offered last year. Guests staying at a WDW resort during November and December were offered the opportunity to book a future stay in August or September at a reduced package price equivalent to getting the dining plan at no charge. It wasn't extensively advertised, pretty much just to guests at selected resorts (although it was open to any Disney resort guest including DVC members), and had to be booked before midnight on the checkout date of the qualifying stay.

well I didn't read about it very carefully either and I wish I had cuz I would have definately booked right then. By the time I really read into it, It was too late!

We were staying at Ft. Wilderness at that time and only knew about it from here.

When we ate at Pop, there was a note on our receipt about it and a phone # to call.

When we ate at Yacht Club Galley, there was a note on our dining receipt about it and mentioned the kiosk at the Beach Club resort. We wandered over there and booked in person.

I was at the POly dec 8-18th and never saw anything about it! I did call after I got home and inquired about it and the CM said it would have been on the bottom of some of my dinner receipts etc and they could do nothing for me since I had left the resort and was back home! Thank goodness for 40% cause I was pretty bummed about that bounceback!

We booked the bounceback special during our December vacation. I read about it on these boards a few days before we left for our trip. I'm glad I did because it wasn't advertised at WDW. I asked about the special when we checked in at the Wilderness Lodge and the CM said that she had never heard of the promotion. One night while having dinner at the Beach Club we noticed a CM outside of the Cape May Buffet with brochures about the special and this is where we booked our September 07 trip.

I read about here on the DIS before I left or wouldn't have known about it. The day I booked it was a pain. I took the bus early that morning from CBR to DTD only to find the boats weren't running yet, so I had to go back and catch a bus to POFQ. I had called CRO who said they couldn't help me, but to go to PO. I asked POFQ or PORS and was told either one. When I arrived at POFQ guest services knew nothing about it, but called and verified it could be booked at PORS, so I got on another bus and went to PORS only to find the kiosk didn't open until 1:00pm. Once the guy finally arrived he was very nice and talkative telling me and another couple that the Bounce Back was much more popular than Disney anticipated and they were shocked at how many people knew about it despite deliberately not promoting it very much. (No duh!) I wasted an entire morning trying to book it.

Oops! I just posted a question about this on another thread! Pardon me...I'm new to the Dis, but a Disney veteran.

I had heard about the Bounceback (then know as future stay) from Allears and Mousesavers. Dh and I stayed at Pop Dec 10-18 and thought we would get some info. When we would ask at the front desk, NOONE knew what we were talking about. I did not see it advertised anywhere in the parks or hotels. It took us 3 CM at central reservations to get one that knew what we were talking about. So we are booked for Aug 18-25th on the bounceback. We were going to wait for the free dining promo for Aug and Sept again, but decided to book with the bounceback just in case they did not offer it, look like a smart move on our part as the tentative dates are after our dates.

The CM told us that Disney was just testing the waters with the bounceback to see if it wouldbe a viable program in the future. It worked for me!!!

I am another Dec traveler who wasn't told about it. I had read about it briefly before I went but our very short 3 night trip had a few problems-starting with a flight delay and I just never had time to look into it. I was sure they'd offer the same deal to the general public and I wasn't sure of my dates so I just didn't seak it out. I stayed concierge at the Contemporary and was disappointed that they hadn't told me about it. I got a survey when I got home asking if I had been notified about free dining. Now that it looks like I'm going to miss out (arrive 8/20) I'm trying not to think about it.:headache:

I read about the Bounceback offer on the Dis and made a special trip just to book it. Gave me a great excuse to go down in December.

We were at BC the first day the promo started and not I did not know about it until we came home and saw it on this board--to be honest though I probably wouldn't have booked at the time anyways...Of course in Feb we decided to go back during that time no bounceback offer but we did get the 40%

We were at the BC the week before Thanksgiving and we heard about it because there were standup cardboard-type flyers in our room, on the dresser or the desk. I don't know if these were in any other resorts, though.

we had the flyer in our room at the YC when we were there Dec. 8 & 9.

:confused3 I also wasted a lot of time trying to book it in Dec while at WDW. I called every day of our stay (7 days total). I was on the phone each time for 15-20 minutes. It was frustrating - I was told by so many different CMs that I was wrong and they had never heard of this promotion. I knew what I was talking about, but was transferred over the phone to so many departments - Disney Dining, Central reservations, POP Century Resort, you name it. Nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. One CM even said I had to be staying at POP to book the promo. I told all of these people I knew about the promo, but I did not have the special number to call, and they all said they did not know what I was talking about. So, we left Disney after a wonderful time in Dec. and no bounceback reservations. I got a new laptop for Christmas, so it will be at my disposal for situations like this when we travel - I wish I had it last Dec. so I would have had access to the info I needed. Oh well, maybe we can still book free dining next week. :cloud9: :)
