We are staying at OKW for 6 days and would like groceries delivered. We have never done that before. I understand we can order the day before from Walmart...do we just let them know where we are staying and delivery date? Do we need to let the resort know they are being delivered? Any helpful information would be much appreciated! Thanks!

We had groceries delivered to All Star Sports on Sunday, June 2nd from Walmart. We had no issues. We just placed our order, then we met them at the bus stops (by luggage services) when they said they would be there. Very quick, very easy. Well worth the $10 delivery charge.

I’ve never used Walmart delivery but we’ve used Instacart on vacation & they’ve been great. I really appreciated how the shopper would message if the store was out of an item, & asked if we’d like a substitution.

Never had a food delivery of any kind but I seem to be interested for Disney & at home. Is delivery % based on bill? Tip is % based on bill also?

I've actually been tempted to especially try at home then decided it would take longer to find the items I want on the website than to just drive there.

I've never ordered from Walmart, but I've ordered from Amazon, Publix and Garden Grocer. You add in a delivery address, pick a delivery time and put in the comments "deliver to bell services"
Exactly this. I've ordered 2x from Walmart while staying in a Disney resort and this is how we do it. :)

I just put no substitutions, because 99% of the time I'm on a plane when they're doing the shopping.

I can't speak on any other delivery service, but for Walmart it was just a flat $10 delivery charge. The suggested tip % was based on the order amount, but it allows you to tip as much or as little as you want.

We always use Walmart for our grocery delivery, and it's always gone incredibly smoothly. Just a tip, too, if it's your first order, they'll often send you a free delivery coupon to the email you use to sign up with, so be sure to check your junk mail/spam folder just in case!

Note - if you want the groceries delivered to Bell Services to hold for you, make sure you let Walmart (or whomever) know you want the refrigerated items separated and marked. Bell Services will store the groceries for you, but can only refrigerated what is marked. We'll often have groceries delivered to our DVC resort, have Bell hold them for us, and then call down and have Bell deliver them to the room for us - they charge a few dollars for the service, but it's well worth the charge and a tip. And especially at OKW, where you might be on the 3rd floor of a building that doesn't have an elevator - it's nice to have someone else bring them up the steps to the door for us!

We used Wal Mart delivery our last trip. So easy!! I scheduled delivery for 5PM so I knew we would be there and met them in the lobby. We used a cart from guest services to take the groceries to our room. I think delivery was $10 and our tip was $10?? Well worth the money and will definitely do with every trip now.

We have used Garden Grocer for years with no issues whatsoever. We’ve used Amazon as well on shorter visits. GG is not inexpensive, but we have found their services fits our needs. They do offer discounts for early ordering. The process is simple online ordering.

At OKW, if you schedule the delivery for a time when you're in the room they can deliver directly to your room. You'll skip the middle man (Bell Services). That said, after many years of using Instacart I have now switched to using Lyft and doing my own shopping. It's no more expensive, in fact maybe cheaper without all the fees and upcharges, I get to see and choose items, and it only takes about an hour door-to-door to Publix.

Does the driver wait for you while you shop or do you call when you are done?

Which Publix (address) do you request for Lyft? Is there a Walmart super store closer, or better than Publix? We are staying at OKW in August for 11 nights.

The nearest Publix is 8145 Vineland Ave, Orlando 32821. Walmart is 3250 Vineland, Kissimmee 34746. Both about the same distance in different directions. I’ve been to both and prefer Publix…if you’re shopping for a lot of people Walmart will of course be less expensive.

We used Publix/Instacart for our trip in June through the 'Publix Delivery & Curbside' app. We made 2 different orders since it was a 2 week stay with 1 week off property (closer to Universal) and 1 week at Disney. Each grocery order was between $250-$300 (we had between 6-14 people in our group during the 2 weeks and cooked some meals in our room).

The first week we had our order delivered and there was a $19.64 service fee plus we gave a 10% tip for the order. For the second week's delivery we had some extra time and Publix was close to our resort (Animal Kingdom Lodge) so we decided to pick up the order. There wasn't a service fee and we gave a $5 tip to the person who helped us put the bags in the car. AKL let us use a luggage cart to transport the groceries to our room but they were a bit stern about making sure we returned it immediately as they don't seem to like letting guests use luggage carts unsupervised.
