NEVER got towel animals - anyone else???

OKay, starting to feel a little shafted. I fully understand that Mousekeeping does not have make towel animals for your room, but . . . . just once? with pixie dust?

Has anyone else stayed on site more than once and never got towel animals? After five visits? 2 WL (conc) 1 Poly (conc) and 1 POR

We had a birthday one time, an anniversary the next. we tipped a lot every day - still nada.

Anyone else???

We have been to WDW 4 times. Weve never gotten towel animals. I mentioned this to my DH this trip and my daughter left a note with the tip.
She asked for a towel animal!! Well no towel animals our whole trip and we tipped everyday!! I guess we just dont know the secret to getting them!!

We have been to WDW more than 30 times and probably have only ever had towel animals 3 of those times. I suspect that all the Mousekeepers we have had didn't know how to make them. I am also betting that is the case with your Mousekeepers too.

We've never gotten them in multiple stays at AKL. Of course, we have real animals to look at off the balcony!

I've stayed on site 10X and never gotten any towel animals. I'm not holding my breath either. To guarantee you towel animals, do a Disney cruise. We did and every day we received towel animals. Though it was nice, I don't really care if we get one or not. I do hope you will get one on your next visit. I hope tink will send you some ~*~Pixie Dust~*~.

Never say never! After 20+ visits, we got two different towel animals on our last trip. After the hullabaloo, I saw them and thought, "Hmmmm... yeah cute... but is that it?" But we got 'em and they were appreciated.

I think it all depends on who is tidying up your hotel room. I don't think it matters how you tip or where you stay, I think it all depends on whether the person tidying your room knows how to do it or not or whether they want to or not or whether they have the time.

Out of all the times we've stayed we've only gotten Towel animals once. It was at WL on Christmas. We told the housekeeper she didn't have to make the beds since it was Christmas day, and just to leave fresh towels. We leave our tips on the last day of our stay, so she didn't know we were leaving a tip or anything. So, maybe it's just depends on the housekeeper you get.

I have never gotten towel animals. This is the problem with these boards... they make "exceptions" sound like the rule and then people get upset when they don't get things.

The other problem is that if you go when things are busy, housekeeping is busy... They don't have time to do towel animals...

The other day I was reading all these posts about the elaborate things the housekeepers do with stuffed animals, toys, towels, hats, etc. And it made me realize why it sometimes takes them so long to get to my room.

I've never had towel animals either in the 10x we've been. A couple of visits ago we did return to find the kids stuffed animals leaning back against the pillow watching tv and yes the tv was on. I'm not sure how long it had been on as we didn't get back to our room until after dark and I remember wondering why there were lights on in the room since we didn't leave them on when we left but it was the tv.

It was nice to come back to that and the kids enjoyed seeing Micky, Minnie and a stuffed cat and dog from home watching tv.

14X Ive been and only once did I get towel critters, I think its just a roll of the dice if your Mousekeeper knows how to do them and has the time.

We only stayed on property twice and we never got any. Once my daughter's Ariel doll was sitting on the bed watching the Disney channel. That was neat.

After about 15 visits we were suprised with a bunny back in November! I never expect anything, that is not what the trip is about but it was a fun surprise. We have gone down when the kids were little and had animals re-arranged. Really I don't see how the Mousekeepers have time to make the animals and meet all the cleaning demands.

I never got animal towels either staying at the Animal Kingdom . I even tipped the housekeeping everyday during our stay. I was hoping at least 1 day when we came back to the room, but no such luck!

In the 25+ times I have been there, we received towel animals once. Never did understand all the talk about them but I must admit I immediatley turned into a excited five year old when I found them.

That being said I think the staff has an awful lot of rooms to cover in a short period of time. We all seem to like our rooms made up early in the day. So when I return in the afternoon, a made up room with fresh towels is all I hope for.

I know.. can you imagine coming back to your room filled with towel animals and your room is still undone?! The lady keeps making towel animals and got carried away that she forgot to clean the rooms! LOL!

Towel animals are scary! The only time we ever got one was at POFQ. Well, actually, we received a "Towel Clown"! I hate clowns. I don't even go to the main pool at BWI because of the freaky clown slide. Watching the children slide out of the mouth of scary clown is too much for me. Anyways, we came back from the parks and Scary Towel Clown was on our bed. I freaked! DH had to hide him in the room. We still laugh about it. I have had this clown phobia since I was a kid and we couldn't believe that of all the towel animal creations we could have received, it was a scary clown. It had eyes and everything.

Hi, we just got back from WL last week (stayed 8 days) and we also did the Poly last year for a week. In '99 we stayed at Port Orleans...we have 3 kids and never received a towel animal. Frankly I never even heard of them until I started reading this site and another one. We are OK with it, we feel the "magic" more in the parks and the atmosphere outside the room, LOL! This last visit we had a view of Cindy's castle and felt the *BAMM* of magic each night, which was nice. And, a couple days we came back from the parks to find some of DS and DD stuffed animals tucked into their bunk beds & their toothbrushes standing up neatly at the sink. Like another poster said, I like a clean room too so if they want to fogo the towel thingies, that's fine with me as long as I have a cleqn room to come home too, LOL!
