HI, all -
Just wanted to provide some encouragement to those who are visiting last minute or who have been unable to get the reservations they're after. I have a trip next week that was only booked about 4 weeks ago; it's one night (Wed) with my mom, one night (Thurs) solo, and two nights (Fri-Sat) with my sister and her daughter; we're staying at GF, and the plans were to do MK evening hours with mom on Wed, hop to MK Friday afternoon and hop to Epcot on Saturday afternoon (this is simplified, obviously). My niece is really best with dinners around 5-6:30 The following reservations are booked as of today:
Wed - Citricos with mom at 6:10 before we head to MK
Thurs - Celebration at the Top (solo) - cannot wait for this, cannot believe I got it!
Fri - California Grill at 5 pm with my sister and niece
Sat - Space 220 at 5:15 with my sister and niece
I used a reservation finder for Citricos (I had GF Cafe at 7 but wanted to scooch it earlier and really wanted to take my mom to Citricos), others were just finds. I have a full-time (+) job, but I made a point of looking on the app every time I had a minute or two, probably 4-5 times a day at various times throughout the day. Looking at 5:30, 6, and 6:30, then tables of 2 or 3 or 4. All res now are for the correct amount of diners. I know that travel is a bit weird right now, a slow time anyways with probably more cancellations that normal, but when I first booked this trip, there was nothing I was interested in. Just wanted to remind everyone - keep checking! You never know what will pop up. Good luck to all.
