Ok Ok calm down just a bit.
One, my mother ended up only getting a one day pass to the Magic Kingdom on Sunday because it became pointless to get the three day pass.
First off, thursday was our prep day, the day to load the truck, finish laundry, all the fun stuff. Well I picked my mom up after work and decided to go to the salvation army store to pick up some outfits for my brother and her.
While in the store, my dog jumped out of the truck, or some one stole her out of the truck. In any case she went missing. Spent a few hours looking for her with no luck, so I took my mom back home and picked Kari up early from work and we went back to look. Still no luck. We went to Kinkos that night and made up fliers to put up.
Friday rolls around and nothing got done on thursday, so I spent the day loading the truck bed, doing laundry, cleaning the truck cab out, all while Kari was working. She knew she still had her project to finish up (and she's always been a last minute person, plus it's not easy juggling a full time job and school full time and life in general) Plus this is the first time that I've seen her work on it before the night it is due.
So Kari gets off at 3pm and I take her over to the library to finish up, and then go back to my mom's to do what needs to get done. 8pm rolls around and I'm finally done cleaning out the truck. My mom has finally gotten the last of her clothes out of the dryer.
I go get Kari and tell my mom to finish up getting things together to go in the truck. Me and Kari still have a few things left at our place to get, so we figure that in an hour my mom will be ready. Go back to our place, finish packing, get back to my mom's and she's sitting on the couch playing snake on her phone. And here it is almost 10pm.
I go in and I'm furious, we have half the truck packed, mostly camping supplies and our clothes for the weekend. All that's left is adding my mom's stuff and my brother's wheelchair. All I asked her to do was put the clothes she wanted into garbage bags because there's no room for any suitcases. She finally gets it done, me and Kari finish packing the last of the stuff and the wheelchair (which was the biggest hassle because it doesn't collapse). Here it is after 11pm at tanight, and my mom can't find her purse, which was conviently located under a blanket or something that was on the couch.
Mean time we haven't put out the fliers, so Kari lks with her mom and she agrees to put them up for us. So we hop on the highway and finally at 1am we're on our way.
And the one important thing that was supposed to get done after filling the tank, was depositing my mom's paychecks that she saved up. (Our bank allows immediate availability of checks deposited into the Presto ATMs, as to why it wasn't done any sooner. Nor did we want the money spent.) Well that late at night I didn't want to do it, and I knew of a Publix there on 536 and 192, I figure the next morning me and Kari could go take care of it. (BIG MISTAKE!!!)
Kari did a couple hours of driving and I took over for the last of it. Before we headed out we called to see if we could cancel that night, but it was too late. Generally for us we book an extra night, and if we don't get out early enough then we'll call to cancel and just sleep at a rest stop. We rolled in at like 5am, and all the cast members were looking at us funny for showing up the next morning. So we set up camp as the sun came up, and we slept in till 11am or so.
Saturday morning we get up, my mom goes to take a shower and we unload clothing and such and set it up, get things organized while my brother, Lewie, slept. She gets back and me and Kari go to take a shower. Well she's had her shower, and she's dressed and ready, so what's left? getting lewie ready. We took like 1/2 hour showers, and when we got back lewie was still sleeping in the tent and my mother didn't even try to get him up and ready.
This was also the day that we were supposed to go to a techie trade show at the convention center and my mom was gonna spend the day at the MK, because on Sunday I wanted to spend the day with her at Epcot for the food and wine festival.
Well we decided to go to the settlement to see if there was an ATM with a deposit. No luck there, so we headed out and went to Publix while my mom stuck around the settlement (It's not like there's nothing to do there). Well when we got to Publix we found out that there are no Publix in the area that have deposits on them because they were stopping them.

WHAT?!?!?!?
Kari calls her mom for advice and here it is late in the afternoon 3pmish. Her mom says to let my mom go to DTD or some place because it's pointless to waste a full day ticket on a half day. And that we should just go and enjoy ourselves at the MK or where ever, and tomorrow morning find a check cashing store to cash the checks at. Plus it'll give my mom some extra money to do something else, which we later decided to do Chef Mickey's monday morning before we left.
Get back to the settlement and find my mom on a rocker in front of the store, half asleep with the cell in her hands, from playing snake. And lewie's half asleep in his wheelchair. Tell them that there's food back at the site (that I picked up from Publix), and to go hop on a bus someplace. (Me and Kari spent three days there without going into the parks, you can keep yourself busy)
I let all the frustration go, and decide to have a fun time with Kari. We went on our favorite rides and got to see spectromagic from Pecos Bill's cafe. Then we saw Wishes and spectromagic again from infront of the castle. Get back to camp and clonk out.
Sunday morning I woke up early at about 7am, along with my mom.
She took lewie and gave him a shower, and I didn't want to wake Kari up, so I decided to go over to the crossroads to get McD's for breakfast and check at Goodings to see if I could cash the check there, can't do it there.
Well we all have breakfast and get ready. And me and Kari head over to the Comfort Station to use the yellow pages. We start calling all check cashing stores and so on to see if we can find some place to cash the checks at. Finally on store said yes they would do it, even though my mom's license isn't valid anymore. Head out, and I call them to get directions. 1508 W Vine Street... ok is that on the orange county side or the osceala side, and the lady didn't give me good directions, 1/2 west of 536, well is it east or west of i-4?? And she thought I was Kari and got annoyed at me, so I didn't ask anymore questions. Head out and can't find it, finally find a Publix and they said they'd cash only one check (that's thier policy). Head back towards Disney and go back to goodings, the lady there told me to try winn dixie up the road, go there, they can't cash it because of a code 8 (which I don't understand because it's a governmet grant issued check through AARP).The lady there tells me to go to a little quickie mart a block down the road, find the wrong one and they point me in the right direction. Finally get the second check cashed and meet up with Kari who's been doing a good job of keeping lewie entertained for the past couple of hours.
Well I took all the money, gave my mom 120$ for the two tickets, 60$ for spending, we keep 60$ for our spending, set aside 100$ for chef mickey's, and 60$ for gas and toll back home. (Now we paid the 160$ for the site, so I wasn't taking money from my mom, it was what she owed to us).
So finally 1pmish we head out to the convention center since it was the last day and Kari really wanted to go to it. We get in about 2 hours there before they closed up. And then we got back to disney and went to Epcot then MGM for extra magic hour.
Monday morning rolls around. We chit chat for a little while about what we did the day before. And lewie got to be ruler of the kingdom and even got a little certificate. And the CM gave him a free autograph book and pin to have the characters to sign. My mom seemed to have enjoyed her day, and they got the GAC card, and lewie got to ride the cars twice, which apparently was his best ride.
We told my mom to go enjoy herself at DTD buy any last souvinears and such before we left, since this time she had money. We wanted to take in the last of MK. Well yes we were late getting back, but it's not like she was in the area of where we told her to meet. We checked all the stores and asked CM's if they had seen her. And kept calling her cell over and over with no answer. It took us like 2 hours to find her, and she told us, that she was at McD's eating lunch at about the time we got to DTD.
I forget what time we left, but it was way later than what it needed to be.
There's also something that you guys don't understand or know, and that is, my mom doesn't take responsibility of her life, she doesn't stand up for herself, she doesn't act like the mother. I have to go over every night to cook her and my brother dinner because I know they won't eat something good if I don't. Ham sandwhiches are fine for lunches, but not for dinner. And my brother is always eating, he eats as much as me and I know if I don't fix him food, my mom won't feed him as much as he should eat and just let him munch on crackers all night. I'm 21 yrs old and taking care of my mother who is very well capable of taking care of herself and she just won't do it. God only knows what's going to happen when we move next month. I have to do all the grocery shopping, and her shopping consists of pepsi and frozen dinners.
This trip just brought out the worst of it all. And made me realize how much of my life is devoted to taking care of her. And it's come to the point where it doesn't even feel like she appreciates all that I do for her, and just expects it. I can tell her a hundred times that tomorrow is Kari's day off and I won't be by to see her and she'll still call me in the morning to see when I'm coming. Now I just tell her I'll see if I can stop by. Or mom, I have to work I won't be by. One time I was working a 1-5 shift and she kept calling right at 5 to see when I would be there and I told her look don't call me I'm still at work I still have things to finish up, I'll be by when I get off. I ended up staying until 6 to finish up.
As much as you want to yell at us for not being there at the right time... there's a hundred times where she went wrong.
As for Kari's speech. Some people decided to turn it into a half hour speech and the teacher got tired around 8:30 or so and told every one that they'll finish tonight. And yes since 3pm we've been here finishing her speech up and finally 10 minutes till class we got everything printed and ready and is ten times better than what it would have been.
