Your dog??????????

Ok, Just learning to knit and am working on my first baby blanket maybe 1/3 done. I own 2 cats and I figured since both are sleeping in the sun spot I should be safe leaving it on the table in the living room while I go and make lunch for DH and I.
My husband is sitting in the LR watching the Olympics while I am in the kitchen when I hear him say, "Ohhhhhhhhhh mom is gonna be angry with you". Not knowing what he is babbling about I go into the LR. Well all over the floor is my yarn wrapped around the coffe table legs thru the GD's rocking chair and in a tangled mess by DH's feet. The blanket is partialy undone with the needles on the floor. :scared1:

Who is the culprit, my black lab? No he is snoring on the couch. The 2 cats who heard the rukus followed me into the room. There looking quite proud of herself with the ball of yarn in her mouth was the minature sznaucher(sp) I inherited from my dad.

It took me an hour to untangle the mess and try and put the knitting needles back on my blanket. At least now I know not to leave it unprotected in the future even when I am sitting working on this she trys to steal the ball of yarn.
The little stinker.

:rotfl2: I have so been there. I have a little Havanese ball of fur that I swear waits and watches until I am lulled into feeling safe and secure and no longer vigilant about where my knitting is when I'm not working on it. But really, she has always believed she is a cat.

You gave me a good laugh this morning. It's hard to be mad at them, but it takes SO darn long to get those needles back in the right place, doesn't it?

Little stinker, they'll get you everytime. :upsidedow

Here is the little stinker. Mitzi Bell wearing her Christmas coat. Looking quite smug if I do say so myself.

HAHAHA-- That's a funny story, and I literally laughed out loud at the picture. She does look "quite smug." What a cutie!

Good luck with your blanket! I just finished one that my cat repeatedly felt the need to "help" me with!

Mini PSA: Don't let pets around string, especially string they can swallow. It can mess up their intestines and kill them. We almost lost a cat that way... we were left with a hefty vet bill too.

LOL sounds like one of our dogs.....I can leave shoes sitting out forever and then suddenly she decides she's hungry and eats them. Yup, had a pair of shoes just sitting on the floor for a couple weeks, a couple days ago DD10 (it's her doggie) says "Mom these were in my room....." and hands me the shoes, a strap is gone. LOL
