MISS PIGGY'S FANS RETURN, 5/2009 ON THE BASIC DDP

5th trip in 2 years...we are making up for lots of non-Disney years, lol. DH thinks there is a saturation point somewhere...I'm not so sure about that. This trip was Me & DH (he turned 53 mid-trip, so he was our What Will You Celebrate? poster boy) Also with us were DD20 and her BFF19. They had a grand time. Here's where we ate, including the counter service, some are new to us this trip, but some are repeats:

Flash! Review on Post #65Writer's Stop, Hollywood Studios-Mocha Slushies & carrot cake cookies

So 4 totally new-to-us choices on Table service. On counter service, we had not been to Sunshine Seasons or Cosmic Rays in a very long time, so they might as well have been new! Wolfgang Puck was also brand new...we would have had more new choices, but I had to let DH choose his own birthday meal, and DD wanted another country restaurant so went for France. We had a great time with our restaurant choices! And the counter service choices were mainly related to the parks we were at that day, so went for places we knew we liked. Reviews done!

I hope you don't listen to Miss Piggy in this trip either! mmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm

:lmao:I'm thinking we probably won't!:lmao:

I'm busy finalizing the plans for which park in the mornings, and which place for counter service lunches now...want to try some new places (and try some different choices at some old faves, too.)

And seek new choices on snack credits...

And of course, absolutely have to seek out new adult beverages, too. Preferably frozen or glowing:banana:

And somehow find time to do some rides and that other Disney park stuff:woohoo:

The frozen lime margarita in Mexico was pretty tasty ... and those slushies in France are always good. :thumbsup2

Key lime pie martinis at Wolfgang Puck's are the bomb!

Wait ... does anyone say that anymore? :confused3: :rotfl2:

And when you dine at Rose and Crown try the Imperial Beer Sampler ... five tasting portions of some darn fine beers!

Have a great trip ... we'll be waiting for the reviews! :goodvibes

DH will be thrilled at this recommendation:worship::drinking1:worship:

Do they do the key lime pie martinis at the counter service version of Wolfgand Puck's?

:woohoo:The beverage list is growing!!!:woohoo:

I don't know if that martini is available at counter service but I know that it's available at wolfie's dining emporium on the West Side. The wildberry lemonade that they serve is good, too.

Sheesh ... I sound like a lush. :lmao:

Here's a picture of the Imperial Sampler ... Guinness, Boddingtons, Bass, Stella Artois, and Harp.

Tasty indeed!

Awesome drinks at Yak & Yeti !

Don't worry about sounding like a lush...you're in good company, here: you're talking to a proud, card-carrying member of the Lush League...my list of favorite adult beverages at Disney is growing with every trip. I figure most Disney beverages are "light" so might as well enjoy:rotfl:

Awesome Picture, thanks! DH is the beer drinker in our family (I will sample the sample, though:laughing:)

Nicki, what's the special good drinks at Yak & Yeti?

Sounds delicious and I can't wait to hear all about it. By the way, tell DH there is no saturation point with Disney.:goodvibes
Well, I know there's no saturation point with Disney...just slowly bringing DH around to that philosophy. He loves Disney, but has this really odd notion that there might be other places to visit, if you can believe it. Don't know where he gets these bizarre ideas from:rotfl:

Actually, we do end up traveling other places but usually in connection with business trips or family occasions. My preferred vacation when we travel strictly for fun is WDW though. One of these days going to try Disneyland, and maybe a Disney cruise...we like the way the Mouse does travel & entertainment!

Wow, Brenda...just read your avatar more carefully, and you're kinda-sorta in our neck of the woods (well, middle of the country anyway)

...I'll be sure to wave in your direction when we go passed O'Fallon, MO Thursday May 21! I know just where that exit is - I think we've stopped there for fast food before. Crazy as it may be, we drive from Nebraska.
We'll be on I-70 heading to see the Mouse in just 3 short weeks.

I had a drink, it was Bamboo something, with rums and juices and it was huge, red and icy cold...just wonderful! All the drinks on their menu look fantastic! If you eat at Y&Y around 4pm ask to sit by the windows on the far left, you can watch the parade!

I think the beverage list is just as important as the food list...if not more :rotfl2:

:cool1:It sounds delicious, I'm in.popcorn::

You're eating at alot of the places where we are planning our ADRs. This should be good.
