Never done anything but Disney... Nick Hotel?

Ok... We have ALWAYS stayed at Disney when traveling to Orlando. However, we were thinking of spending 5 nights at the Nick Hotel and doing Universal on this trip. I am just wondering if 5 nights is to much at the nick hotel? Has anyone ever been there?

Need some opinions. My dd will b almost 6 at the time of travel and she LOVES spongebob etc.

First, if she loves Spongebob then I think she's going to REALLY love Universal!

I have driven by the Nick hotel before but never been there. I saw a show about it recently and it looked pretty cool though.

I know this does not answer your question but here is another idea. If you can afford it (not sure how expensive that Nick hotel is in comparison), I would suggest looking into one of the Universal onsite hotels for at least a few nights. The perks are very good, especially the FOTL (front of the line, which is like their Express pass but you get unlimited use of it). Also, they are all within walking distance of the parks.

I would also suggest you visit the Universal area of Disboards for more info, lots of great ideas and tips in there.
