Never been to the Boardwalk (in 5 visits). Worth it to go for a meal?

If so, would it be best to do so for a lunch the day we are in Epcot or the day we are in DHS?

Or, would you suggest just a snack trip there?

And, this might be a weird question, is there a good way to go from DHS to 1900 Park Fare? I think I need an aerial map of the world!

I would not leave Epcot to go to the Boardwalk for lunch. There are several fun places in Epcot to eat for lunch - Coral Reef, Biergarten, Marrakesh to name my favorites. But, for dinner.... I would dine at the Boardwalk's Flying Fish Cafe... very nice restaurant (2 credits if on dining plan) with delicious seafood and people rave about the steak too. The boardwalk is more fun in the evening... from 6pm to about 10pm, there are entertainers (magic, comedy, balancing, juggling, etc.) who are very talented and really involve the audience. Lots of fun.

Last year, we had park hoppers... spent the day at DHS, then took the boat to the boardwalk. That was fine... but I would not leave DHS to go to the Boardwalk and come back to DHS. Many of the shows at DHS are at specific times.... it would be a lot of missed park time to leave DHS and come back. Plus we would want to stay at the Boardwalk for the entertainers.

DHS to 1900 Park Fare? Just take the Disney Bus to the Grand Floridian....assuming you are not driving a car.

For lunch? There's not really a lot worth going to on the Boardwalk for lunch, especially, like the previous poster said, if you're already in Epcot. The two best restaurants aren't open for lunch hours, and the others (ESPN Club and Big River Brewing Company) are decent, but nothing special. If you like beer and want a relaxing lunch sitting on the Boardwalk, Big River might be a nice option for you, though.

Now, if you wanted to do dinner, I'd wholeheartedly recommend dining there. Both Kouzzina and Flying Fish are good restaurants, the latter being one of the better eateries on property. Plus, on good weather nights, there are games and performers on the Boardwalk.

Boardwalk is totally worth it. Not sure if I would leave a park to go to Boardwalk then go back to the same park, but it would be a great place to go after you are done with a park for the day

Its BEAUTIFUL at the boardwalk, especially at night, we ate at Big River Grille and LOVED it, and I highly recommend picking up a treat at the Boardwalk Bakery
