Hi All,

I've been to Disney World many times, but never during the holiday season. So what exactly is the MVMCP? Is this the only way to see the parade? Is it worth the extra bucks? In my group will be myself, DD (10) my mother, and an aunt and uncle who have never been to Disney World. Thanks for your help!

This will be our first MVMCP. This is the only way to see the Christmas parade. They will still have the regular ones. They also have special holiday shows and a special Wishes. Along with most of the attractions staying open. We are going to use the party as our park for the day and stretch our vacation out one day longer. The party starts at 7p but from what I've heard via DIS you can get in as early as 4p

Welcome mel. I think MVMCP is worth the extra bucks. Most attractions are open, and the christmas stuff is great. You'll see the parade, the holiday wishes (special holiday fireworks at the castle), there's a show at the castle forecourt stage, character dance parties, a ton of character meet and greets, free cookies and cocoa, carolers, santa, and it even snows on mainstreet. Just be careful which party you choose. Tickets are more expensive on the weekends and crowds are much higher. I'm going Dec. 12th. Can't wait.

Here is a link that may help you some. http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/hol_mk.htm The show times for specific shows/parades are posted from last year. They haven't updated the site for this year's times yet, but they are usually pretty close.

We have always gone to MVMCP everytime we are there in December. This is the only time you can see some of the special shows and parades they do for Christmas. I highly recommend you go, worth the price. One year we even went twice. All the shows are very good, the parade should not be missed. There are 2 parades. We usually watch the 2nd one. It is less crowded, and you can hit some of the rides while the crowds are watching the first parade. These Christmas shows are great for the whole family. You can also get free cookies and hot chocolate, and don't forget to get your picture taken, also free. (free means part of the price of admission)

Keep in mind, there is so much to do that if you want to see all the shows, the parade, and of course the fireworks, you will have limited time to get on any rides. It is do-able though, you just have to have a plan and move! The rides usually have little or no wait because the majority of the people are there for the Christmas festivities.

Tip: The line to get pictures taken is usually pretty long. Find a spot along the parade route that is also close to one of the picture-taking locations. Then right after the end of the parade goes by, rush right over and get the pics taken. Little or no line at all!
