Never been there, need hotel help

My daughter is to take me for our first time in june. I have done the wdw thing before and stayed at resorts. Are there any budget priced rooms in the disneyland resort? I cannot find any. If not, where would you suggest we look for a room?

The Disney Resorts are definitely not budget but you can stay at a variety of other hotels that are right across the street and a 5 minute walk from the gate. These run about $100 per night and if you can get the entertainment book rate at the howard johnsons that runs $59 and $69 per night depending on what view you want. That walk is a little longer but still walkable.

We've stayed at the Carousel Inn. Nothing special but it's close, offers a small cont. breakfast and a place to sleep. Park Vue Inn is a step up from Carousel, even closer and again nothing special. You are paying for the convenience to park. Others you might want to check out are Best Western Park Place Inn, Tropicana and the Candy Cane Inn is well liked although I've never stayed there. These all have websites so you can look up rates.

I've stayed at the Tropicana and I love it because it is reasonably priced and so close to the park.

Oh How Special! My mom and i are getting ready to go on a mother and daughter trip. I hope that you both have the best time.

Disneyland is alot more laid back than WDW.. it's not rushing all the time to get from here to there.. it's a smaller park and we like it better.

We usually stay at the holiday inn on south walnut.

Also... we use the A.R.T. transportation shuttle.. it's $4 a day with as many trips to the park and the hotel as you wish during that day and night. They are very well organized. We save our walking for Disneyland.. not to and from the hotel.
