Never been, need help

DH and I have decided that 2007 is the year we will finally go to DL! WooHoo! So now we are trying to choose between staying at GC or DLH. But I would love to see more picture of all the types of rooms they have, from standard to concierge. Does anyone have any idea where I could find those? I have looked on the DL site but no luck. Also we were looking at going in mid to late Sept, how are the crowds then? Thanks in advance for any help!

September crowds tend to drop off, and the weather is usually pretty good. However, there is a good chance you will miss Haunted Mansion as DL takes it down in September each year to add a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. After the NBC overlay, Haunted Mansion is known as Haunted Mansion Holiday, or HMH. HMH is usually up by late September.

As HM at DL is fairly similar to that at MK, if you happen to miss it I would not be overly concerned.

Of more significance is the Matterhorn, which is often taken down for refurb after Labor Day. This is a classic DL ride and it would be a shame to miss it.

We went Sept 21-24 last year and Sept 24-27 this year. I love Sept because it is still warm but not crowded. I just got back last night from a Dec trip and it was much busier than Sept. Haunted Mansion was down both times, but oh well.

If it is just you and DH, I'd say stay at the Grand Californian. It is wonderful!
