Never Been Kissed

Never Been Kissed is one of my favorite movies and I identify with Drew's character Josie. I was just thinking that I'm now the same age that Josie was when she went "back to high school". I'm not sure I could do that.

I love Drew Barrymore in it but when I watch that movie I can't get past the fact that the teacher had growing attraction to a girl who was a (to him) a student. It creeped me out a little.

But the teacher didn't act on it until he knew that Josie was an adult.

and the teacher did dance with her at the prom...

I love this movie, too, and think you just have to suspend your disbelief a little bit. Obviously Drew doesn't look young enough to be in h.s., and her teacher looks too old to be interested in a h.s. student, but it's Hollywood, right? OTOH, I was teaching senior boys, some of whom were 19, when I was just out of college at age 22, so, realistically, I could have dated one of them (after they graduated, of course!).
