Never again

It's pretty shocking the teen behavior you see on the news every night. The decline in our society and lack of morality can't be blamed on any cruise line.
What decline? Violence rates are now a fraction of what it was 30 years ago in society. Go look up the stats if you dont believe me. Racism and homophobia have also declined significantly. Societies morality has in fact clearly improved greatly.

You honestly think teen these days don’t drink or do drugs because you didn’t. You are either in denial or don’t have teens that communicate with you. Maybe that’s why kids are doing it because their parents are oblivious.
No one is saying it’s right. People are saying a cruise is no different than anywhere else when it comes to teen behavior. If you’re shocked by it cruise an adult cruise line.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm saying it's not an excusable behavior. There are plenty of things that lots of people (teenagers or adults) do that aren't okay, but they don't do them. I think some people are trying to say it's okay by using "teenagers will be teenagers." Instead of holding parents (and the teenagers) accountable for their behavior, the mentality is 'well that's just what teenagers do.'

I mean… yes? Teens sneaking drinks from one of the kids’ parents liquor cabinets while the parents aren’t home is definitely a think that has been pretty commonplace for decades. And I could see how teens staying in concierge might see how their parents get free drinks from the concierge lounge and think it is not stealing because drinks are included in concierge fare for adults, and the fare is no different for an 18 year old than a 21 year old. As you say, not something I would have done as a teen but I could definitely see some of my high school classmates doing it. Definitely in the range of normal teen behavior, because teens do a lot of stupid things.
Good point, though I do see swiping alcohol from a parent's liquor cabinet a bit differently than swiping booze on a cruise. Normal teen behavior (for some), yes. But I still don't think that makes it acceptable behavior.

How do propose a cruise line hold them accountable? Complaining on social media isn't a solution.

No one is condoning it, but some of us certainly aren't shocked by it.

But isnt alcohol in the concierge lounge free? Therefore its not theft but just an underage drinking issue.

Alcohol in the concierge lounge isn't free, per se. It is part of the incredibly high price paid to sail in concierge. It is also not constantly free flowing, but provided, via a server or the concierge hosts from 5 pm- 10 pm nightly. At any other time during the day, there is a charge like any other place on the ship. The perception of an "open bar" is somewhat incorrect although the lounge can become quite busy and I can imagine that resourceful individuals could abscond with liquor if motivated. Not, however, with liquor I would describe as gratis.

I heard about adults being rude to other fellow adult passengers, young kids running around the ship and bugging other passengers, kids bullying other kids, teens swearing and pulling pranks on cruisers ie stealing magnets, fish-xtender gifts, etc, 18-20 year old age range being rude in the adults only area as well as around the ship after midnight. I personally didn't witness this behaviour except for kids being very silly and running around the ship but to me that was typical kid behaviour and nothing that would stop me from sailing again or ruining my trip.
On our last two cruises we have had door magnets stolen, I told my daughter we are going to have to start putting them on the inside of the door in the cabin so we can enjoy them without replacing them. It's sad we can't enjoy our vacations with like minded responsible families as we did for so many years.

I don't believe anyone is blaming the cruise line(s) for the teens' behavior. However, think there's a very big difference between blaming them and preferring to see them do a better job of policing and curtailing unruly behavior.

Security does that already. I have a couple of teens that have witnessed a few security "events". They do ban kids from the Vibe and the Edge. I communicate with my kids and have heard some pretty crazy stories. Do they catch everything of course not. They are way outnumbered.

I just got off the Fantasy and while I didn't see any of this, people that were in our group chat were complaining a LOT about unruly kids. Some went to guest services to complain, some were yelling at kids (not their own), etc... We stay mainly in the adult areas, except for dinners so that could be why I didn't personally witness it.

My family had a lovely cruise last summer in the Mediterranean so it makes me sad to see all the issues people are having sailing in Europe this summer. We stuck to the adult areas of the ship and didn't see any children in those areas. Reading about how parents are bringing their kids to the adult pool deck and other adult only areas, plus all the threads I've read about kids running around with no parental control, really makes me reconsider ever sailing with Disney again. What is "normal" child behavior to someone who practices free range parenting is not considered normal to others.

I understand that parents need a vacation, too. But don't we all? I guess my point is that some people seem to be thinking only of themselves and they don't seem to be considering those around them anymore. I tried a new cruise line in Europe this summer and we had a fantastic cruise, and I'm planning to try another line next summer.

I was on the Fantasy this summer and a teen at Vibe was caught just outside the entrance of the club with vaping materials. He was taken to his parents by security. Also, a teen was asked to leave the adult pool area because he was only 17. They even called guest services to verify his age. I don’t think they mess around and there are more eyes around than you think.

We were also on the Fantasy last week. A couple of times, we ran into kids sitting on the stairs, but when we said “excuse me”, they quickly moved aside and apologized for blocking the way. I would describe the behaviour we witnessed as being fairly typical of high school students hanging out in a school hallway during lunch - a bit oblivious at times, but not malicious.

There will be zero difference between this summer and the previous summer when you had a perfectly good time. There are always isolated issues. Its only this time you have seen complaints about them. These same issues would of happened on the cruise you were on but like almost every other passenger you didnt notice them.

Ive seen plenty of adults sitting on dcl stairs too. Some not always willing to move either.

What about stealing magnets off doors, or gifts from fish extenders?

What about setting your luggage out the last night and teens run by and "deposit" their ice cream cones in your nice luggage, all over your vacation clothes.

Stuff like that makes me think twice (or a third time) about cruising again. There are other ways to spend my vacation dollars.
Where do you do that while eliminating the very small risk that something could be stolen? I would argue theft of luggage is more likely while holidaying on land.

I disagree, but I think it should be ok to not agree about everything. There seems to be a lot more entitled people these days and a lot of staff who don't feel safe confronting them. It's a slippery slope - once someone lets a kid into the adult area then another person will do the same. I see a big difference between the way people behaved on our earlier cruises and how they behave now. Considering I know people who were sailing this summer and I heard from them what it was like, I can say that things were not the same on my cruise last summer. Perhaps because it was in early June, or perhaps we just got lucky, but I'm not really willing to take that chance.

That's corporate philosophy at 99.9% of companies today, they're not supposed to confront violators, just call the police or security team.
