I've been busy, so I never got the chance to post this. Of course, it's not as belated as kpk's almost two year old report :rotfl2:

Time and Place: Monday 8/13- Friday 8/18, Coronado Springs

We made the decision to go in late June, and we booked our trip on June 25th, the very last day to book free dining. We love free stuff. We went through expedia and got a very good deal, so we were happy. 4 day PH tickets with plans to upgrade once we got there. My planning begin in mid July when I found DIS. I made an entire itinerary, booked my ADRS, started packing. But then I learned about TGM. I joined TGM on August 7th (yes, 11 days before we left) and basically read like crazy and discovered that everything I had previously known was wrong. Like, very very wrong. So I made new itinerarys, changed some ADRs (it was very very hard to do this a week before we left!) and hoped for the best. I also bought some pink crocs, a khaki bagallini (which never made it to me before the trip, but I love using it now) and some ponchos at the dollar store, which we never used. Thanks for the great advice DIS. It seemed we were ready!
 
Day 0 (Sunday August 12th, one day before we leave): WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO GO STAND BY?

So, we booked our flight two months in advance, recieved all the paper work in time, everything was peachy. So on Sunday night I logged on to United Airlines' website to do that online check-in thing to avoid waiting in line in the morning. I'm about to confirm when I see a link that says "request upgrade" I'm very curios about this, as I've always wanted to sit somewhere besides economy class. I figured clicking this link would lead me to a page that explained the fees etc associated with an upgrade, right? WRONG! "Thank you, upgrade confirmed" Huh? I'm at a loss - I'm certainly not paying for this if its a lot of money (and I'm sure it is!) No problem, I'll call the airline and change it back. So, literally thirty seconds after I clicked the link, I'm on the phone with United.
Now, please excuse my un-political correctness, but the woman I got on the phone with had the thickest accent I've ever heard and I could not understand her at all.
"I made a mistake, I don't want to upgrade my tickets, I need it changed back please."
"Okay, I went ahead and booked you on standby for a 6:30am flight tomorrow..."
"WHAT? No, I already HAD seats, and I made a mistake, just change it back."
"I cannot do that, we already gave your seats away."
"I JUST DID IT 43 SECONDS AGO! YOU DID NOT GIVE MY SEATS AWAY GIVE THEM BACK TO ME."
"I can't do that for you ma'am"
"Well then, please connect me with a supervisor" "She won't be able to help you."
"Please connect me anyway."
"Ok" she replies, like I just asked her to carry me on her back to Disney World.
Then I'm on hold and my mom is swearing up a storm (I had the woman on speaker phone) two minutes later, the SAME woman comes back
"Hello?"
"PLEASE CONNECT ME TO YOUR SUPERVISOR" "Ok, fine, please hold"
Three more minutes pass.
THE SAME WOMAN RETURNS "I'm connecting you now." Because apparently she was painting her toenails before.
And then I'm on the phone with a woman who honestly sounds like the previous woman just changed her voice to a higher pitch, but I finally demand she change my seats and she finally does.
Whew! So, we have seats (though they couldn't give us our numbers yet, we had to get them at the gate) and we're on our way!
 
Ok, I now have learned not to change my airline tickets. Hope the rest was good though.
