You can watch it on your computer without buying any equipment. If you have the right cords, you can plug your computer into your TV and stream it to your TV that way.

If you have an xbox 360, you can stream Netflix through your xbox to your TV.

Certain blu ray players will stream Netflix to your TV.

The last (I think) option is a Roku player, which runs about $100, and it will stream it to your TV.

Our LG bluray allows it to stream (it also has the wifi built in).

We love this new way of watching TV. Netflix streaming is great!

PS the picture quality is not as wonderful as bluray or even DVD, but considering that it is free (well, once you pay for the subscription to receive the ones they mail you) it is a great deal.

Both my Blu-ray Disc player and my TiVo allow me to stream Netflix directly to my television.

Picture quality is really noticeably poor, compared to any other means except old analog. And closed captioning is not supported, which is a pretty nasty slap in the face given that my wife is hearing impaired.

As long as the TV has the inputs you need.

And don't forget you can do the same with a PS3, and in 2010 you will bea able to use a Wii as well. BTW, XBOX 360 requires the $50 a year Gold membership. Sony PS3 is FREE. :)

 That's what I've been waiting for! Can't wait!!! :yay:

If you have a Wii that is hooked up to the internet you can download playon. It costs $39.99 normally but they send out emails with coupon codes pretty often. I got it for $19.99 with a holiday code they sent out a couple of weeks ago. Plus they have a 2 week free trail you can do to make sure it will work for you.

Yeah, that's definitely not very cool of Netflix. I work in a relay call center, and some of our supervisors here are deaf - they're all pretty disappointed they can't take advantage of the Watch Instantly feature. I know a few of them have contacted Netflix to see if it will ever be available, and all they've ever been told is "maybe in late 2010". Hopefully they get on it soon.

One step at a time... this is emerging technology.

The problem is that it is emerging faster than accommodation for the disabled is emerging. It may or may not have happened yet, but if anything -- anything -- is curtailed in favor of a reference to the online source, then folks in this federally-designated protected class get shafted. I say "may or may not" because who knows how many shows would have been rerun this past summer, instead of the networks showing more reality shows, if viewers hadn't had the online rebroadcasts to effectively cannibalize their interest in summer reruns.

Imagine if a company started having meetings in a brand-new state-of-the-art conference room, but it just happened to be in a space that wasn't used previously and so was not handicapped-accessible -- how long would you give the company to put in ramps?
