I just got an e-mail that I should receive the disc to stream through my Wii tom. I'm so excited! :cool1:

Yeah...I just got the email too! Now I just have to figure out how to get my Wii to work with our router...

We have the streaming on our PS3 but the Wii is on the TV my son watches the most so we would love streaming in there for his shows!

Instead of streaming movies/tv shows on your computer, you can somehow stream them to your tv through your Wii with a disc. I signed up a few months ago to get the disc - the disc is free.

AWESOME... I signed up my mine months ago. Hope we get our soon!

If you've got a Netflix account, you can now watch any of there streaming movies/TV shows on your TV via the Wii for free, as much as you want. But you have to have the disc and wi-fi.

You can also do this with the PS3, but again you have to have the disc. Some Blue-Ray players and the new Wi-Fi TVs have this feature. Oh, and netflix has a box that hooks to ur TV.

I signed up for it months ago but didn['t get an email that it was coming.

Cool - I was hoping they would give us a way to do this with the Wii eventually! I haven't wanted to buy another system for Netflix movies, but I do have a Wii!

ETA: Where can I request the disc from? Netflix?

Maybe it's being released by areas or something, because ours still says "Coming Soon". This was the main reason we signed up for Nexflix, then once we signed up we realized we could also stream through our PS3 so we've been doing that. It will be nice to have another option on a different TV.

It was really easy. I receive the Wii newsletter every month via e-mail and it had a step by step video, Dh had it set up in no time, as soon as he remembered our wireless password :lmao:

I am so excited, I have been waiting for this since we got our Wii in January, and the newsletter was taunting me. It gets difficult watching movies on my Netbook sometimes with that small screen.

There is a link in the Wii Newsletter or you can do it on the Netflix site. I got in quicker with the link from the Newsletter.

I signed up a few months ago, but haven't received the e-mail yet. For those of you who did, please report back how you like it once you get to try it out.:thumbsup2

You can request it from Netflix. It took me a while to find it, but I went to the My Account section and then selected "Manage Netflix ready devices and computers". That took me to a page that listed all of the computers we've used, and at the very bottom was a link to the help center. From there I selected "Netflix ready devices" and the link was somewhere on that page.

I got our email today also. We stream through the Blu Ray player now.

So yesterday I snagged a Sylvania Blu Ray player for $60 shipped. The streamer will go to the bedroom and the new player will go in the LR and I will finally have Netflix streaming in the bedroom. I love Netflix.

Great! I've been waiting to sign up for Netflix until it was compatible with the Wii. My sister has an Xbox and says the streaming is so easy that she and her DH watch tons of things thru Netflix now.

I will have to check this out -- my DH and I have been thinking about cancelling cable this summer as an experiment, and this would make it much easier!

I have wii, where do I get the disc for wii? And what kind of wifi is required? Thanks for any info. Jo

Bummer. It says you need to be on an Unlimited Plan to sign up for it. :guilty:

If that doesn't work, from the Home Page, click on the tab that says "Instantly to Your TV".

But the least expensive unlimited plan is $8.99 a month, 1 out at a time and unlimited disks per month/unlimited streaming, so worth it when you can watch 4 to 6 movies a day, which I do at least every other weekend. Oh, and they are really quick getting them to you. I returned 2 on Monday and had 2 in my maolbox on Wednesday.
