netbooks and movies

If you have a netbook that you use for travel:

How do you get movies on your computer? Did you get an external drive? Do you download on to it from say Netflix or Amazon or something?

I know, it is probably obvious but I am not sure since I am a dvd kid.

I have a laptop, but my kids have netbooks. You can watch them from Netflix or if it's a movie I really like, I'll buy it from Itunes. You can also rent from Itunes.

I am a netflix member so usually I just watch movies through their site.
