Just bought one yesterday (Vertuo Next) as an early Christmas present for myself.😁. Anyone else have one? What are your favorites pods, coffees, etc?
Also is Nespresso the best place to buy the capsules? Any good refillable capsules out there?

Thanks!

I was just looking at them yesterday. I love when I go to Europe and they are in the room to make coffee.

I didn't buy it yet. My DS will drink many cups of it and I don't think he even tastes it. I'm only buying cheaper K-cups at the moment for him. I hide the better ones that I buy for DH and me.

I will buy one when DS moves out.

I have one - and I'm super happy with it. However, I'm a one cup a day coffee drinker. I do order from Nespresso sometimes - however I often find that Home Goods has the pods and it's a bit less expensive.

Thanks! That is great to know. Will definitely check them out.

I have two, one at home and one in my office, but I have the original line. It may be different with the newer line but the best price for Nespresso pods is Nespresso themselves. There are some other pods that are good but I have stopped buying any that use foil on the top instead of the thin aluminum. Lavazza and Pete's come to mind. They don't work as well. I do use some Starbucks pods but prefer the Nespresso pods. Ristretto is probably my favorite.

Some of this might not be relevant with the newer pods.

Oh, I agree with

the pods by other brands that aren't the thin aluminum aren't as good. I've found both Starbucks and Il Mulino pods at Homegoods which are aluminum. The Il Mulino ones are my husband's favorite. That said, I buy directly from Nespresso as well. Their shipping is fast and the quality is of course top notch.

I love mine, I buy from the website or I sometimes go to their store (downtown Boston). The prices from N'espresso are usually the best you will find and they will send you a sample(s) with each order - and a bag to send back the used pods for recycling. You really can't do fillable or reusable pods (like you can with Keurig) because the machine reads the barcode printed around the top of the pod so it knows how to brew the coffee and the size of the coffee. At least I have not had any luck with refillables. My only complaint is it sometimes does not brew the coffee as hot as I would like. Enjoy your gift!

The answer partially depends on the type of pods. My husbands is a Vertuo and to the best of my knowledge, only Nespresso and Starbucks actually make those.

My son has had one for years. I buy his capsules from Costco. I recently purchased an 80 count Peet’s variety pack for $24.99. Right now, they have a 60 count starbuck‘s in a variety of flavors for $32.

I love my Nespresso machine. As others have said, I've found that buying from Nespresso directly is the best cost wise and they have many more varieties than you'll find easily elsewhere. I've used the Starbucks ones a few times in a pinch when I forgot to order and found them okay but not as good as the Nespresso pods. I love Biano Forte and Columbian and they are just about always in my order, but I've found that I do not like the special flavors (right now they have a peppermint, a gingerbread and other flavored coffees).
