Hi all! I'm VERY new to trying to make some extra money online. I've signed up to both QR and SR. But I'm nervous about doing the offers/trials. Does anyone have any advice for a newbie?!? Seems like the only way to truly make money on these is to do the trial offers, so I'm either going to have to get braver, or take forever to get anywhere with the paid-to-click emails!! Thanks for all of your help!!! :thanks:

I know just how you feel! I've been doing rewards programs for *years* (our first trip to WDW in '98 was financed almost completely by rewards -- back in the days when the programs were *really* lucrative!) and I've only recently started doing offers, mostly with Sunshine Rewards.

The things that made me "brave" enough to try them were the fact that so many people here were doing them, and that Tricia is very accessible and posts here often. Dmitry from QR has also started posting here, too, so it helps to know that the folks who run the sites are really on top of things.

Before I do any offer, I almost always come here and do a search to see if anyone else has been doing it. It always makes me feel more comfortable if other DISers have endorsed an offer! ;) Plus, if there's anything to be aware of before doing an offer, you can find that out, too.

HTH a little! :goodvibes

I have also been doing rewards programs for years, but just recently tried doing some trials due to people posting about them on this board. The only advice I can really give is to take it slow and watch these boards. Start out by only doing one offer that seems fairly risk free and wait for it to credit so you can cancel. Once you cancel, then look for another. There are a few offers that you can do through paypal and cancel through paypal. These are super easy (if you have a paypal account).

There is a thread on here about offers you can cancel online (no calling to cancel). I would start with one of those.

Good luck!

I used to hate doing trials. But that is where you make the most $$. So I started doing one here, one there. I also checked the boards to see if anyone did the offers. I only do SR and QR for offers. They are great. After you do a few, it gets easier. I use to hate to call to cancel offers, but now it does not bother me. Give yourself time, and it will get easier for you. Have fun watching your account grow!!!

I was like you, well sort of still am, but in January I decided to do some offers. I am the one that started the thread on which offers you can do by canceling online. I don't want to talk to someone on the phone!! Anyway. There are like 10 offers over on that thread that I would start with. And just be careful to watch your credit card to make sure you don't get charged for something you did cancel.

I still don't feel real comfortable doing the offers but I am getting better.

HAVE FUN!!

Another thing that I would add is to do some of the things like the daily surveys and a few of the $1-$2 type offers first and make sure that you get some credits before you do the big ones. That way, you make sure that your computer is not blocking any type of cookies. Anything you can do to make sure in advance that your credits will come through easily will help you in the long run.

Bumping....I've only done one offer with SR and also kinda nervous about doing the offers. Does anyone have any advice on the easiest one's w/out having to complete tons of pages.

OP - I did the blockbuster trial which was great but one thing I learned was to be sure to cancel because I was charged since I didn't cancel on time.

I am also very new to SR. The only offer I have done is the Blockbuster. Has anyone had any problems with doing the Rewards? I guess I really don't understand the concept all that well. I have been reading what I can on the disboards. It sounds like some of you have been doing it for a while.

Hi Tracey,

I haven't had too much trouble. I think sometimes you need to make sure to clear the cookies from your computer so there isn't a problem tracking the credits properly (not sure I know how that works but I've seen it mentioned here).

I was probably doing Sunshine for 4 months or so (clicks and email and sunshine scratchoff only) before getting brave enough to do any offers. And then I started small doing paid sign-ups or things that didn't require a credit card. Online shopping here and there... then as I would see people doing various offers here and getting credited and cashing out I got braver, and now I'm a supermember for the 3rd quarter in a row!!

If you aren't getting credited for things you are doing, make sure to file a trouble ticket. Also Tricia (sunshinegirl) posts here regularly, and that makes me trust this program because I feel like it's run by someone I "know."

HTH!
