Nervous about 'Ohana ressie...

I have eaten at Ohana three times. Everytime it has been fabulous. However, the waiter did say to us that the nearer your table is to the grill the better the food. It needs to be on the plate in 60 seconds from the grill and the restaurant is very big. I must say that I have not met anyone who says it is not good.

Enjoy your first night dinner and I hope it uis as good as we have always found it

I'm with you OP. Out of 18 ADRs, Ohana (and Boma) I'm worried about the most because of the mixed reviews. I haven't thought twice about canceling though because you don't know what you like until you try it. Hope you enjoy!

I agree 100%. Other peoples' opinions don't provide much information when it comes to meals. Yours is the only one that counts.

Give it a try. If you don't like it, it is not the end of the world. And at least you will save money (or credits) over Narcoossee's.

i share your concern regarding ohana's. we've booked it for our next trip and have never been there as in the past we either had other picks or didn't plan our trip far enough in advance to get an adr. as for narcoossee's we've eaten there 4 times before...1st two in 2007 were fabulous, once in 2008 was still good but not as good service, the last time in early december 2009 was terrible. our adr was early, just after opening and we had bad slow service, the waiter joked about bringing the wrong meal...then did, when they refired the order it was again the same wrong order and it was cold when it got to us. we waited long periods of time between courses and for the waiter to return for drink refills. they didn't say anything other than "oh...again, huh" when they kept bringing the wrong meal. by the time it was corrected everyone else was done eating. there were several other issues that each in and of themselves wouldn't have been a big deal but when you put a lot of small problems with the one big one the night lands flat. it was our worst dining experience at a place we previously enjoyed. overall, keep your adr for ohana's go for it and see what happens because narcoossee's is not a sure thing and can have their good and bad nights too.
