Nervous about fastpass 60 day window.

This is my first time back to WDW in 7 years, so this is new territory.

I rented points to stay at beach club in the beginning of June. The reservation is linked and shows up on mydisneyexperience. The fastpass window opens up 7am tomorrow (3:00am my time) and I am getting up to get fast passes. I have been doing a test run through my disney experience online to look for fast passes, and it is only showing that I can pick them for 30 days out.

Since my reservation starts in 61 days, will it just automatically open up the full 60 days at 7 EST?

You actually can book a FP now to go through all the steps and then Cancel it. Ease your stress, a little.

You'll be fine. The hardest part is getting the exact times. Just did mine this morning for our stay starting June 2nd. Got everything we wanted on the days we wanted but not always the exact time. Had to go back and tweak some ADRs afterwards. I'm sure I'll still be tweaking up until I arrive! lol

You'll get everything but Flight of Passage, and even that one there is a chance it will pop up. That one is just an entirely different animal, it's best to just not think it exists.

If you do get it, awesome, but if you don't, your life wont suddenly be over and the vacation ruined.

I just rented Points as Saratoga Springs for last week of November. Like the OP, I have not been back to WDW in a long time (before fp+). I feel like a newbie all over again. I am purchasing tickets (in advance) from a known, approved, online seller. Do I have to request magic bands, or are they sent automatically? I have a confirmation number, but the DVC check in site states I must wait until 60 days out. Can I register for MDE now? Thanks for the advice.

I am wreck too. And my fp date isn’t even coming up soon (late July trip). First trip in 5 years, last time we were there you got a fp at a kiosk, it was paper. I feel like I am going to mess it all up.

You should be just fine. I just finished our fast pass reservations about 15 minutes ago and managed to get bot Na'vi and FoP on our Animal Kingdom days. The only annoying thing it the whole Toy Story Mania thing they have going on.

I made my FPs on March 30. I got everything I wanted at the time I wanted (within 15 minutes) except 7DMT. I wanted a morning time, but the earliest available was 5pm. I went ahead and booked it because it will work, just not ideal. I keep checking to see if a morning one opens up.

I made a list of the date, park, ride, and time for each FP+ I wanted. Then I put them in order of how I wanted to book them.
6/2 AK FOP 6:15
6/4 AK FOP 12:30
5/30 MK 7DMT 9:30
and so on

I also put how many people because some days I was making FP+ only for me and DD and other days I was making them for 5 people.This really helped me because I was able to go straight down my list and it kept me organized.

Don't stress too much! If you don't get what you want at that 7am mark, just keep refreshing. I'm a passholder and have never once booked my fastpasses 60 days out, and I nearly always get what I want. This past trip (March 24 & 25) I got everything except Dinosaur - and I had Dinosaur, I just wanted to move it from 1pm to noon that day, because I finished doing everything else I wanted to in AK and was ready to head out. I got 7DMT, FOP, TSM, Space Mountain, I got 3 Tower of Terror ones in a row (that was fun), Soarin'....just keep checking, especially as it gets close to your trip. People change/cancel their stuff constantly so new things are always opening up!

Yay, it worked! I got everything I wanted, but not necessarily WHEN I wanted. I'm still going to keep checking to see if I can FOP for the morning I really want it. Otherwise, I have a decent plan.

We are actually ending up at AK for their em morning hours and then two evenings because I could get night fast passes for FOP twice. I'm on the fence as to whether that 2nd fastpass is worth our flex night being scheduled. Oh well, I guess I could always cancel it if we don't feel like going. Or maybe skip the em morning, keep the two evenings with fast passes, and schedule something else.
