We have been visiting Disney since 83, although my first trip was in 75 with the high school band. We have owned timeshare since 1980, and have traded many times to go to Disney, but always stayed off property, at very nice resorts mind you, but there was something missing. Then I won a trip for two to Disney, and got to stay on property, and decided right then and there, that we needed to do something about staying on property. Last year when we stayed at the Polynesian, well that just solidified it. We still have our week in New Hampshire, but Disney is by far the best deal around. Mind you we only paid $3,000 for our week in New Hampshire in the middle of ski season, so DVC was quite a bit more, but in our estimation, WELL WORTH IT. We won't be using it until next summer when I take my parents down, and I can't wait to get my mom there for the very first time. Your family will change their tune the first time you take them down with you. Rich, huh

No regrets whatsoever. In addition to the family vacations, my wife and I have taken a few long weekend getaways at OKW and Grand Floridian. When we haven't been able to use our points, we've easily rented them through DIS. This year, we were dead set on 4th of July at the beach. Vero and HH were booked, so we rented some points and are using the proceeds toward a beach house rental nearby. The remaining points will be used on a 2br for four nites at VWL during Columbus Day weekend.

So much flexibility with DVC. The quality is always excellent. I highly recommend you go for it!
