Hi all! We haven't been to Disneyland in 2 years, and are going in early June of this year. Are the lines for Finding Nemo still super long, or have they died down by now? I couldn't find any really recent threads on this in the search. What is the best time to go on it now? We will only have one MM, so I would rather use that for Fantasyland. We will be at the parks past the second showing of Fantasmic one night - if they do the 2nd showing in early June. Our kids are finally old enough not to turn into pumpkins at 10:00!:cheer2:

Thanks!

this isnt to recent but in december (08) we went and the line was 15 minute wait for the first hour the park was open and then 2 hours and up the rest of the day :( so yep, still pretty long

Wow, 2 hours. Yuck. You didn't happen to see if it got shorter during fireworks or Fantasmic, did you?

My mom & I were there at the end of February with my daughter, and the line was around 30 minutes.

use your MM for early Fantasyland then and then high tail it over to Nemo and Buzz. You should have short lines in the morning for an hour or so. Get fastpasses also for other rides. During fireworks and Fantasmic the park is pretty quiet. I went on buzz and had to wait about 10 to 15 seconds for the next vehicle and the people in front of me waited a whole 2 seconds. When I got off the line was already back to half an hour wait.

Thanks for the tips - I think we will do it at the end of the MM time. Is it open during MM?

I hope we can do Buzz like that - hubby LOVES it (like he went on it 4 times a day last time we were there). Does it still have Fastpass?

Thanks!

Nemo IS open during MM. Depending on when you are there, though, it can have an hourlong ride by the end.. although, a few people have reported that if you can get over there just before the end of MM, before all the regular opening people come in, the wait may be down to a manageable time.

Another alternative is to do it last thing at night. Sometimes the lines are lower then. Again, depends on what season and day of the week you go-- a weekday will be less busy.

FWIW, we had 2 MMs and used one of them for Nemo, and I didn't think it was worth all the fuss. It's a cute ride, but kinda claustrophobic, even if you're not really claustrophobic (DD11 said, "Mom, I had 'personal space' issues on that ride." :rotfl: ). You could also opt to see it in the Viewing room-- it's a room that shows the same images that the riders see, on a screen, in a room for those who can't get into the subs or with claustrophobia, etc. or people like you! :thumbsup2 Just ask the CM, usually the wait is not nearly as long as the regular ride wait.

We found the lines to be shorter late at night rather than in the morning. When we tried to go in the morning (first thing, but it was a MM) it was an hour. We waited 25 minutes at 10 at night.

Yes, Buzz still has FP. :goodvibes

The lines for Nemo are still long, but they aren't "super long" like they were back in the summer of '07, when Nemo first opened. Back then the lines were 3 hours. :upsidedow

IMO another good time to ride Nemo would be 'first thing' on a non-MM day.

If you decide to see Nemo 'first thing,' remember to not enter the Tomorrowland entrance -- the line for Nemo will go toward the Matterhorn. From the hub, walk toward the Matterhorn, and the CMs will direct you to the line for Nemo -- they will direct you to go either in front of or behind the Matterhorn.

HTH :earsboy:

I rode it at night and waited a total of about 4 or 5 minutes. :cool1: I got in line right before they closed and we (and about 3 or 4 other people) were the last to ride it for the night.

During the day time however, I saw that the line was really long. This was back in November during the week, btw.

I agree with the other posters about going on Nemo just before closing. We were there during the 2nd week of Dec. and we had a 10-15 min. wait. :)

We had an about 20 minute wait one afternoon in late October. We had wanted to save Nemo for one of our MMs, but then we walked past the sign with the wait times one afternoon, saw "20 minutes" for Nemo, just looked at each other and took off to Tomorrowland without a word.

It was even more close to 15 minutes wait time in the end. I was shocked.

with 2 little ones in tow, we couldn't save this ride for the last ride of the night before closing (since closing was at 10pm when we were last in december). so we rode it on a non-MM day (friday) first thing in the morning. we were there when the park opened at 8am and quickly made our way to nemo. i think we waited 20 minutes. the wait was pleasant...we got to keep our girls in the stroller for most of the wait, so it wasn't too bad. i'm glad we did it first thing in the morning!...and after we got off the ride, we walked right onto buzz...no wait at all!

When I went in December 08 (pretty crowded), I found that the best time to hit up Nemo was during a parade. However, you NEED to get your timing correct because immediately after the parade ends, the Nemo line is completely inundated. If you try in the morning after MM expect a long line. Better to try later in the day.

We were there last week & my family rode Nemo during one of the slower days & the wait was still 30 minutes. They got off & said, "I wouldn't wait 5 minutes to ride this"......even the 3 & 7 yr old were not impressed with it. I didn't ride it myself, so can't tell you my opinion, but could only pass on what the rest of the family thought.

Thank you all for the info! We will be there for a week, so I think I will plan on trying all of these times on different days when it is convenient - we are bound to hit it once at a good time by the end of the week (I hope:goodvibes ). It doesn't sound like one we will want to ride twice, so that should work. Thanks again!

We didn't think we'd ride twice either - but it was a favorite for one of our group. :goodvibes We actually ended a magic morning there and waited 15 minutes right before park open. As the park was closing another night we walked right on. Throughout the day I saw wait times of 60-90 minutes though.

Just wanted to chime in with our nemo experience. We went on a Saturday last november. We weren't planning on riding nemo since we thought the line would be super long but as we walked by around 10:30am, the wait was only 20 minutes. I'm sure with spring break crowds the line might be longer though. As a PP stated, i think the really, really long lines for it have died down.

so we rode it on a non-MM day (friday) first thing in the morning. we were there when the park opened at 8am and quickly made our way to nemo. i think we waited 20 minutes. the wait was pleasant...we got to keep our girls in the stroller for most of the wait, so it wasn't too bad. i'm glad we did it first thing in the morning!...

I agree with this!

When we first rode it we had two MMs b/c we were staying onsite (you get all the MMs during your stay, including day of check out and day of check in if you're there early enough), so we used one MM for Nemo.

But on our last visit we went first thing on a non MM day, and the wait was just fine.

I will say, however, that if you have kids and if your kids are skittish, or if they are skittish at the beginning of days or trips...you might not want to go FIRST thing. I discovered towards the end of our trip that earplugs helped DS incredibly...alas that was well after making Nemo our first ride of this trip, and it was just too too TOO LOUD for him (all of us, actually, and worse it was so loud you couldn't even understand what was being said!) and it really messed up the next hour or so. So be careful of doing it first-first thing. (Buzz is loud, too, and DS only went on it after we figured out the earplug thing...even though he LOVES the ride!)
