Nemo Suites Cost More Than The Rest?

A Nemo family suite is $28 more per night than the other family suites. I thought it must be location and be closer to food court, bus stop but after looking at the map there are some rooms in different sections just as close depending on which end of the building you're in. Going in the winter so proximity to pool doesn't matter. Is there something different about those suites than the others that I'm not aware of. I realize it's not much more but it adds up with a 10 night stay.

It is just the location that is considered preferred.

We stayed in a Cars Suite one year and in a Nemo suite the next. I enjoyed our Cars Suite more-we were closer to the parking lot (we had a car) and laundry room and pretty equal to the lobby because our Nemo room was a "far" Nemo room and our Cars room was a "close" Cars room. (And in the Nemo room, we had to go all the way around the pool it seemed like versus a better path from the Cars room)
While Nemo was closer to the main pool, we only went a time or two so that wasn't a huge bonus for us.

I also think the Cars theme is better done, but that is just personal preference.

While some rooms are physically as close or even closer, the entrances to the buildings of the Nemo section are the closest to the pool and the main building. They do not expect guests to use the outside stairs at the end of the buildings - we often do when our room is at the end of the hallway - so they charge more for that section. The rooms themselves are exactly the same except for the decor.

When AoA first opened, and sometimes even now during a promo, you could only book a "Family Suite". Whenever that was an option, an overwhelming amount of guests requested the Finding Nemo Suites. Whenever that happens, WDW creates a new category, along with a higher price tag, for the highly requested rooms.

Nemo Suites ............. surround the main pool, are by the main playground, are close to the bridge and soon to be gondola, and the closest buildings (at tangents) to the food court and buses. Guests wanted them, supply and demand.

It's like POP ... standard rooms facing the lake, pretty and peaceful are less than rooms some 20 yards away that are listed as Preferred because they are closer to main stuff. I'll take the quite pretty area room over the one on a busy walkway any day, especially for less and only steps away.

It's like POR ... yes the preferred rooms are closest to food court, but some back up to delivery dock, back up to where the pizza delivery pulls in and out, face one of the busiest walkways with guests. Only took once for me to know that extra money was not well spent for us. BUT folks non-stop here will tell you to book those rooms.

Whether something is true or just an illusion,
if Disney is aware that guests will create a demand for specific rooms
then it's good business to raise the price.
