I remember reading on here about the other area for Nemo, for the people who don't want, or are unable to, ride in the subs. I wasn't sure, is there a seperate line for this area? Or do you have to wait in the monstrous 3 hour line?

I'm clausterphobic (sp?) and am not sure I could bring myself to squish into a tiny submarine with my family and a bunch of strangers. No matter how cool the ride is.

I had heard too that there was an alternate viewing area for Nemo but I don't know if there is a seperate queue. If there is, I think that would be a great option for those of us that don't care if we go in the subs and don't want to wait for 3 hours. Hopefully someone will have an answer for you because I'm interested in hearing it too.

I honestly have never heard of this.

But all I could find on Wikipedia was this...

Additionally, an alternate version of the ride, the Marine Observation Outpost, or "MOO" for short, has been provided for guests with physical disabilities who cannot navigate the submarine spiral staircases or who are claustrophobic. The observation outpost allows guests to experience the entire ride in high definition on a plasma screen.

You can read all about the ride at Allears:

Yes, there is a separate room available for viewing, this is from Allears:

The entire queue is accessible for wheelchairs and ECVs, but the attraction is not. For those not able to use the stairway into the submarine, the "Observation Outpost" is available. This room is off to the side of the loading area and holds two wheelchairs/ECVs and up to 10 people. There is a large high-definition screen on the wall where the same scenes that those aboard the submarine are seeing and hearing may be viewed. The "pre-boarding" narration is somewhat different, though, since the premise is that the room is a marine observation outpost with a remote live submarine camera. There is not a separate line for the Observation Outpost - entry is through the regular queue.

I get a little weird in tight spaces too so you would probably not like the subs. They are very narrow and have pull down seats where everyone files in, sits and has their own porthole. I did like that each porthole has air coming through a small vent. I can get crazy when I feel like I have no air. I read they keep it REALLY air conditioned for this reason, but they were built in 1959 so they are super small.

If you wanted to do it maybe you could ask to be last on and then you could stand or sit near the stairs if you needed space. I am not sure if this is allowed/safe so ask the CM. I just remind myself they are not really going under water and it's going to be over at some point...

There is a viewing room for those with disabilities as mentioned above.

I did the "Observation Outpost" thing last month. You do NOT have to do through the queue - instead go to the ride's exit and tell the CM that you want to do the remote viewing room. They should direct you to go through the exit area and then you tell the CMs there what you want to do. You can tell if someone's already in the room - the light outside will be red. The room's exit is on the *other* side, so you won't see people come out of it, but once the light turns green you can get a CM to take you in and get you set up. You may have to get the CM's attention to do that - they weren't paying much attention to us standing there when we did it.

Personally I thought the viewing in the room was better than on the sub - you have a whole high-def wide screen TV to look at, instead of just watching through that tiny porthole. Of course you don't get the sensation of movement, but that's not a big deal to me.
