So I was checking out the difference in the 2008 Touring Plans for DL and I see that they are recommending #1 to FP Space and #2 straight to Nemo. Is is ok to send one runner while the 3 of us head to the line and the runner joins us shortly thereafter? Have you done this? Or should all 4 of us shoot straight to Nemo then FP Space?

Usually, that's poor line manners and you will get dirty looks if not a complaint or two while you squeeze your way past people who have been patiently waiting their turn. But for Nemo, because of the line configuration and how slow it moves, people get in and out of line all the time. Usually those with kids take them for a walk or to get a snack or use the potty, but I have seen many adults jump in and out of line where their party is waiting, assuming for the same reason. The line is open, just a chain for most of it, so you can easily hop out without squeezing past people for the most part.

Quite frankly, I am very surprised a book would suggest you do this for any ride.

That's just my opinion though, I am sure if you ask 1000 people you'll get 1000 answers.

This is why I asked. We really try to have good line ettiquite but I've read some posts where CM's are encouraging this for Nemo line. Just wanted to get some additional input.

I think people tend to be pretty cool IF the person getting into the line has been there previously. They're seen as "returning" - not "cutting in".

So, with that in mind: I'd suggest all 4 of you establish yourselves in the Nemo line for a few minutes, then send someone to get the FPs for Space. Those extra minutes won't matter much, and you will (hopefully) save yourselves from some possible angry glares/comments.

Yes, this is exactly what we did on our trip. We all got in line and then politely asked the party behind us if I could leave the line just to get Space FPs and they had no problem with it.

We always send my DH a runner ahead to get a FP for one ride while the rest of head for another. I've never seen anyone give us a dirty look or heard anyone make a negative comment when DH is getting into line with us. Maybe if one person is in line and a lot of people try to add in, but not one person adding into a group.

Well. I see they've improved. They used to tell you to fast pass the subs.

:lmao:

IMO it is more critical to hit the subs first than to get a fast pass for Space Mountain. By 2008, it might not be. If you get up front in the sub line, you will easily be able to FP space and then hit other things.
