Looking at trying to get an upgrade on our upcoming cruise at the port. I know I need to check in and then go to the supervisors desk. My question is, can I go to the terminal early in the morning ( to be there for opening) and have all the kids passports and hubby ( leaving him ID to get into the terminal) and use those to check in at the desk? Or must every person in the party be at the desk for check in?

It would save me lots of time to just go myself and have hubby and the kids meet me later.

thanks!

They definitely need to be present to check themselves in, you can't take their ID and check in for them, but what I don't know is if everyone has to be checked-in for you to go to the upgrades desk.

On my last cruise, my wife and sons checked themselves in while I returned the rental car, then I checked in alone afterwards. Could they have gone and upgraded before I arrived, since they had checked into the room? Maybe.

Anyone with upgrade experience know the answer to this?

You could call DCL but you might not get an accurate answer. This might be something you just have to decide it if it is worth it to you to go there on your own that morning and try it. Unless, someone here knows for sure from their experiences.

Good luck.
