OH boy. I made reservations through Dreams Unlimited for the Dolphin for our June trip. I decided to check the Starwood website to see our reservation and note any requests. Plus I wanted to add my card. Well, when I went, there was no reservation. SO then I called. No reservation. I was like what is going on?? The guy takes my information and tells me he will forward it to the Dolphin and they should call me within 48 hours. I thought that this was unacceptable. So I call the Dolphin direct. I spoke to a resrevationist and she said, yes we have your reservation. RELIEF!!!!!! Then she said it's for March 2005. WHOA. No, I correct her, I said it's for June. She said not on our system. I just got real quiet. She asks me for the dates (for the reservation I thought I had booked) and she says, we have plenty of rooms for that date. I said are you sure? The website is showing no availability. She said no, we are only booked the 14th and 15th. I said, o.k. that means I don't have a room. She says yes you do. I said no my dates are the 8th tough the 16th. You are missing 2 of my dates. It was her turn to get quiet. Well now I have to wait to talk with the coordinator that deals with Dreams Unlimited. I am so frustrated right now
I think what makes me even more upset is that if I had not followed up, we would have shown up in Florida without a place to stay. To top that I already have my airline tickets. They were free because of an airline mistake. I have never experienced anything like this before and I just had to get it out.
