Needing to re-ride with DAS and FP+

I looked in the sticky but didn't see my question so sorry if this has already been answered.

We are headed to Disney in 12 days...yay!!

My daughter has intellectual disabilities and autism. She has a need to ride her preferred rides twice or sometimes 3 times in a row.

Is it possible to have a FP+ and a DAS return time for the same ride at the same time? That would allow us to use the DAS, get off and go back for our FP+ time, and passing the DAS podium get a second return time for shortly after we are done with the FP+.

I hope I'm explaining that ok....

I have managed to get FP+ for her favorites (except 7DMT ) and I am just trying to figure out a way to use DAS and FP+ together to help her have an amazing trip.

- Arrive estimated SB wait time early and get your DAS time
- Return and ride with your DAS
- As soon as you get off your DAS time, get another DAS time
- Use your FP+ time
- Get off and wait for your DAS time

So yes it works.

you can have a das and fp+ for the same ride at the same time. You cannot have 2 das return times at one time. It takes some planning. Make sure they use the right one the first time you go through. The DAS can be used until the end of the day, so you have to be careful it isn't used when you want the fp+ use and vice versa.

as others have said yes you can you just have to plane wait times right now are shorter then they were even a few days ago she can use the das get off get a new das you can do something like a quick bathroom break take a few fun pictures use your FP then do the same thing while waiting for the DAS again

1) As mentioned, try to tie FP's with DAS.
2) DAS no longer provides for sequential rides on the same attraction.
3) This was a major abuse of the old GAC, and it was corrected with DAS.
4) It is not fair to other guests waiting to ride.
5) DAS/ADA is for ACCESS, not EXCESS.

NOTE: You can get close to sequential riding, but your planning and timing needs to be "spot on".

Yes, you may have both FP+ and DAS for the same ride. As someone else mentioned, just make sure they use the "right" entry that you wish to use. One suggestion I've read is that your DD must enter first to use the DAS, but have someone else enter first if using the FP+.

The person WITH the DAS needs to scan first if you are using DAS. When the Magicband is scanned, the Mickey head will glow blue.
That brings up the DAS time on the CM's screen. The CM looks at the picture on the screen and verifies it is the person presenting the DAS. Then, the CM OK's it to let the others linked to that DAS through.

If you want to use Fastpass make sure the person with DAS does NOT scan first. The machine will sense the FASTPASS and use that.

It is true that there were people who used the now discontinued GAC (Guest Assistance Card) to ride high demand rides many times in a row without waiting, but many people (possibly most) used the GAC to get ACCESS, not to ride over and over. There were probably more at Disneyland, according to articles I have read.

I have not seen any statistics on how many people actually did ride many times sequentially, and my guess is that the number of people who actually did it more than twice was fairly small. But, the impact to attractions was probably pretty large - I've read of individual people using GAC in the past to do things like try to ride Space Mountain 30 times in a day and people who went during very busy times, like Christmas Day and used GAC to ride a very busy attraction over and over.

That is not what the OP is asking about. She is asking about how to schedule Fastpass and DAS to ride 2 (or possibly 3) times within what is allowed in the current DAS program.

I would first go to guest relations and explain to about your daughter need they might give you some paper fast pass. Also I would tell a cast member at the attraction and see what the can do . I know the DAS is a little changeling. I wish you and your family a magical Disney vacation experience

The vast majority of the cases I've heard about, GR will not issue the re-ads until you've first tried the DAS and determined that it won't work. Additionally, I would NOT ask the cast member at the attraction to break the rules - that puts the CM in a very awkward situation, and should be avoided IMO.

I admire that the OP is making an effort to meet her daughter's requests properly, by using the DAS in conjunction with FP+.

Could not agree with this more.

OP, your plan on combining FP+ with DAS return times is exactly what you should do to help your daughter ride her favourite ride multiple times.

Depending on how many people are in your party, and if they are willing to sacrifice a ride, you can share magic bands. My daughter loves Space Mountain. I hate it. But we book FP+ for both of us, and she uses my band to ride twice.

Also, you could try using social stories about only being allowed to ride twice if that would help - something along the line of "First we get a DAS time, then we ride using FP+ then we ride later using the DAS". It would be pretty tricky to get a return time that meshed with the FP+ time, so expect some wait time in between. Depending on what time you go, it could even be an 80 minute wait for the DAS time.

I'm truly not sure why you needed to add in points 3-4-5 or infact 2! When the OP clearly stated she was wanting to use DAS in conjunction with fp+ which is the proper way to use it, and most helpful for anyone who needs to ride like this.

It brings negativity into a post that wasn't and isn't needed.

I would definitely not give this advice, it's true they give out re-ads but only when everything else had been done and failed, and they will be able to see if the above has been tried, since it's electronically added.
even then it's not a fact that they will be given out,
And I would hate for people to be relying on this information.
