My wife and I are planning for our 4th Disney trip in October of this year. I had not heard of this websitge and chat forum until today.

Can some one please direct me in how to find these discount codes or what I need to do to receive these codes.

We are interested in either room or dining discounts.

Thanks so much in advance for any help given,

AW

Hi- I recently signed up on the Disney site and requested the trip planning DVD.. a couple of weeks later I got the DVD and then I received an email from Disney with a pin code offering me 20% off my room. I know that other people have gotten 40% off codes in the past.

If you look at the stickies at the top of this forum there is one called FAQ & Guidelines for Discounts and Codes it will basically explain everything to you.

For starters, do you have the AAA/ CAA discount? It can save you up to 20% off your rooms, depending on the resort and the season. The best thing about it is that getting the discount doesn't require the luck or timing of many special offers or PINs.

Here's the basic info, taken from www.mousesavers.com:

"AAA and CAA Resort Hotel Discounts
American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for "room only" discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date. You can generally save about 10-20% at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season.

The 2009 discounts seem to run as follows:

Value Season: 15% off at Value, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa (Disney Vacation Club) resorts; 20% off at Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness cabins and campsites.

Regular Season: 10% off at the Deluxe and Deluxe Villa (Disney Vacation Club) resorts; 10%-15% off at Value and Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness cabins and campsites.

Peak Season and Summer Season: 10% off at all resorts.
The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas).

You don't have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel. Just ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort.

AAA/CAA rates for all of the following year are usually released in the summer. 2009 AAA/CAA "room only" discounts were released on August 3, 2008"

First let me say...Welcome to the Disboards!! You have found the best site for all the information you'll ever need when it comes to Disney!

Register at Disney's website to have emails and newsletters to be mailed to you. Pin Codes that Disney mails out is based on a random drawing...could be for specific dates, how many times you've been, ages in your party, etc..... There's no rhyme or reason, but you have to be registered to receive emails and newsletters to receive these much sought after pin codes.

Stay glued to this site as well as www.wdwinfo.com, www.mousesavers.com and www.allears.net for information, rumors and release dates of any discounts. Be sure to sign up for newsletters!

AAA members, AARP, Military, Gov't employees, Annual Passholders, etc... will receive discounts as well.

I booked a tour through a travel agent (air, hotel & passes). Am I correct to assume that having a CAA won't get me any more discounts?

NO, I don't think you are.

If you book a package and want the CAA discount, it has to be through a CAA agent.

Why not contact a CAA agent and see if they'll be able to save you any money by taking over the account??

(Oh, and welcome by the way :) )
