Needed Assistance from parents who know computers please!

Ok, i need help because on VMK, I cannot talk to other people, it always goes red and won't let me submit anything, so I emailed VMK and they said the have the TCP ports 80 and 30000-30004, 30061 and 30062 must be open, but I'm only a kid and don't know where they are, and my parents won't help me. Anyone know where it is located?

Be sure you are typing words that are allowed in VMK. That sounds like you are trying to use words that you can't and they are not letting you enter them. It happens all the time if you try to type in a number...

This has to do with certain ports being open for communication. You'd really have to ask your parents about this one -- it has to be done on your computer .

Ok, so as long as you can log onto VMK and get into the game, the ports needed are already open. If "everything is turning red" when you are trying to talk to people try doing some of the following:

1) make sure caps lock is turned OFF
2) make sure you are using words that VMK will allow. There are a large number of words that are not permitted, these include numbers and words that could be used to describe personal information (locations, names, etc)
3) make sure you are spelling the words correctly. Incorrect spelling will not pass the language filters either.
4) make sure you are not repeating the same word 3 times in a sentence. The third instance of a word will be disallowed.

Other than that, if you are having problems communicating, it is not due to a connectivity issue but a language issue.
