:D We just got back from the Nov 3 sailing on the WONDER and had a great time. I am looking into booking another for next year.

My two cruises that I am trying to decide between are the OCT 26 cruise which would put us back at port on Halloween and then we could go to WDW a couple days. The other option is DEC 7 which would be the week after Thanksgiving. :( :( So is cruising at Christmas a whole different experience? Do they decorate the ship for Halloween????

Is the weather pretty much the same for the end of Oct thru the beginning of Dec. We had perfect weather for our Nov 3 cruise.

The Oct 26 cruise is not as full as the Dec 7 2003. It already has all the Cat 9 booked and I would be on a Guarantee. I guess the cheaper cabins all go first. We had an inside deluxe last trip and it was fine. We were never in there anyway.

So if anyone has any advice let me know? I really want to get it booked so I can start paying on it. The prices are the same and very reasonable at this point.;)

We were on 12/15 cruise last year...ship was decorated absolutely beautifully...Mrs Claus read to the children in the atrium, and there was a special tree lighting ceremony...

We've cruised DCL in Oct, although not Halloween. IMHO, go for the 12/7 sailing....it was just unforgettable...great atmosphere.

As for the weather, generally it is much cooler mornings and evenings in December vs October. During the day, temps are warm both months, but less humidity in December...

I have never been on the Cruise at Christmastime, but I can comment on the Halloween cruise. We just sailed on the Halloween cruise this year. We had BEAUTIFUL weather. It was very warm and sunny every day. The ship is decorated on Halloween and they have activities for children, adults and families--complete with an adult costume contest. There is also trick or treating on board, and costume parades. We had a wonderful time on board.
I would say that you can't go wrong with either cruise.

:D I know they would both be good. My Cousin and her family are booked on the Dec 7 cruise and so I am really leaning toward that one. My DD loves playing with their DD:D and so that would be to my advantage when it comes to the clubs.;)

;) I know???? Maybe I could do Christmas in 2003 and then book the Halloween cruise for 2004!;) ;) ;)

That is an option!! Disney makes it so easy since you can book so far ahead of time!:p

I have read about all the fun stuff they do at Christmas on the ships.

Thanks again for anyhelp.

We have done the first week of December twice now (infact are leaving Saturday) the ship is beautiful and although it makes Christmas a bit of a crunch (I get everything done ahead of time, the presents are even already wrapped) it is a great time to go. Especially if you live where it gets cold, it makes going warm all the better. In October it is not 11 degrees like it will be here tonight!

:D Ann,

You are so right! It is going to be 20 degrees here tonight and snow tomorrow. BURRRRR!! You are so lucky! How exciting to be leaving in 4 days!!! I think I will probably go ahead and book the Dec cruise. I bet the ship looks so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. Plus you would get some great holiday photos! Good Christmas card material!! ;)

You have a good time and let us know how much fun you had. Stay well!!!!:( :( I am sure that ship will be sparkling!!

Wish I was going too!
