well, I guess need is a strong word...really just curious :)

all this talk about 20th reunions got me thinking. Mine is next year, I haven't been to any others but now am curious. I e-mailed 2 out of my 3 best high school friends (gee, anyone remember my post about ending a friendship? that would be the third.). anyway, I e-mailed them and think I could talk them into going. starting to get excited about the idea of going.

my thoughts are to have my MIL and GMIL or whomever come stay at my house to watch the kids. next summer my son will be 3 and the twins 1. I just think its too much to take them across the country to California. besides, who would watch them for the reunion?

I was talking to my 2 sisters today and both said the same thing...it would be easier to fly my MIL out to california to help with the twins out there. huh? easier for who? the kids will be thrown off their schedules, they would be so much more comfortable at home in their own world. and honestly it would be good for dh and I to get away together for a few days. I'm thinking 5 days at the most.

what do you think?

I'd leave the kids home where they are comfortable in their own surroundings with MIL and have a great time with DH alone :D .

I think if you can leave the kids at home, you should. Why disrupt their schedules and drag them across the country if you don't have to? Also, wouldn't it be more fun for you if the kids were at home- and couldn't you use a little break?

I would probably take MIL with me. JMHO. :)

Since they're little, I'd leave them home. They can sleep in their own beds, play with their toys, eat the foods they like in their home. And the little break (yeah, you'll miss them terribly!) will be great for you. My sister is going to a wedding and I'll be staying with her 2 girls. And less to pack, too!

Id leave them if I could. Why have 4 more people(2 very young) fly across country? Imagine all the extra lugage and stuff you would have to bring. Plus it would be a great getaway for you and DH.

Leave the kids home. We did this when my girls were 1 and 2 and went to Las Vegas for my dad's wedding and our 10th Anniversary. We had a blast, and so did they. They kids were in familiar surroundings, they could go to day care during the day, so all DMIL had to do was watch them in the mornings and evenings. It was great not to interrupt their routines.

Hope you have a great time!
