Need your best character meals recs!

Hi, I've been to quite a few character meals before kids including- CRT Bkfst, Chef Mickey's Bkfst, Akershus Bkfst, and Liberty Tree dinner (no longer offered). I need your best recommendations for character meals. I have 6 year old twins who LOVE characters, already know that we'd like to do a princess meal (or 2) and Playhouse Disney characters at Hollywood and Vine.

Pre-park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace is our #1 fave character meal- followed closely by breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. While we probably won't return to Chef MIckey's for dinner, we really enjoyed breakfast there on all levels. We had an excellent lunch at CRT, but a dinner that was pretty bad there back in August. We've had great lunch and dinner at Akerhus. We had good characters and service at the 'Ohana breakfast- but the food wasn't very good. We also had an excellent breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. Breakfast at Tusker House is probably the only all around horrible character meal we've had. I kind of wish LTT would bring back the characters as I really have 0 desire to go there w/o them. Oh well- things change.

My girls love Chef Mickey's for breakfast. They prefer breakfast there over dinner (thankfully, because I think there's a huge difference in food quality at dinner vs. breakfast). They also loooove 1900 PF for dinner (so did DH & I). Akershus for dinner is another of our favorites. We haven't eaten at Crystal Palace for breakfast but it gets rave reviews for breakfast with the added perk of being able to enter the park early for great pics without a lot of people in them.

We always have to do Chef Mickeys dinner character meal. My oldest was 13 last time we went in august ad she was more upset than my youngest that we were going to skip. Lucked out and got a good walk-in time but was very lucky.

Fave for bfast is Crystal Palace~best buffet breakfast. And last year we tried 1900 Park Fare for dinner~ The food I thought was good but the characters were fantastic even my 16 year old son thought they were great. The step-sisters are a riot!!!

Another vote for Crystal Palace breakfast and 1900 Park Fare dinner. You do NOT want to miss the stepsisters. For some real fun...bring a cheap plastic ring with a giant "jewel" in the center and have a young man in your party "propose" to one of them. And make sure your video camera is rolling!!

My vote is for Tusker House breakfast (lots of interaction and the characters lead the kids around the room) and, of course, Crystal Palace (who can resist Pooh and Tigger?)

We are really big fans of breakfast at 1900 PF. The characters are usually (of course they are always subject to change) Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. We love the variety of characters (all the stories take place in England if you couldn't figure out what ties them all together), the interaction with them and the breakfast spread there is very good. We love getting to MK for RD and then head out to GF for one of the last ADR's of the morning (usually around 11:15 or so). It gives us a chance to get some MK touring done, collect a FP or 2 and then have a nice quiet character meal (the meal starts out loud but the restaurant empties out pretty quick). Then by the time we head back to MK our FP's are in affect and we are rested from the late morning break and feast.

CP is nice if you are looking to get into MK before the park opens, which is something everyone should try once. There is nothing like an empty MSUSA to get great pictures of the castle, the partners statue or the train station. Besides that we really don't care for CP in general. TH at AK is another great character meal to help you get into a park early for some great pictures of the Tree of Life.

Our all-time fav was The Garden Grill (at The Land in EPCOT). Best food, most appearances by the characters there (as opposed to the "1-time view" of each character you get at most other places). I never hear much talk about this location, but it's a great one for the standard characters.

We LOVE breakfast at 1900 Park. We also enjoy Crystal Palace.
